Jim Kallinen Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 http://www.griffintechnology.com/helotcNow for the hard part, learning how to make Ipod or Ipad control it. To use to using the old controllers, this will take some time. Quote
Maniac12 Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 WOW DOES THIS REALLY WORK????? Quote
Jim Kallinen Posted November 14, 2011 Author Report Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) So far, getting use to using my Ipod Touch as a remote has proven difficult. You can set to act as either a joystick and use the motion control of the Ipod.Turns out, it takes some serious practice or you`ll bust it up fast. The helicopter is amazingly heavy for being so small. So it has enough mass to do somedamage if you loose control. It has an autoland feature, but remembering its there, is another thing as you watch get away from you. Edited November 14, 2011 by Jim Kallinen Quote
jamesbaby286 Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 How big is it?When I first got my RC helicopter I spent ages flying it around the larger rooms in my house. It was a HUGE help before taking it outside to fly. Quote
Jim Kallinen Posted November 14, 2011 Author Report Posted November 14, 2011 About the same size as the airhogs helicopters. but far heavier and made of metal. My biggest problem is having flown the airhogs indoors for years, is re-training the brain tomake the Ipod act as the remote. I am just so use to having a hands on joystick controller like the airhogs used its difficult to change. They don`t recommend flying it outdoors. Quote
