centerforcekid Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Hello. I have a problem engaging the autopilot. If i start with the engines running, autopilot works fine. But if i start per the tutorial, i cannot get the autopilot to engage... AND YES the yaw dampeners are engaged (lights out). Is there a certain sequence of buttonpresses that i need to be aware of?By the way ... the CRJ200 is BY FAR the best plane I have in X-plane. Any thought of doing a 737????thanks!Pat.
davidngr Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Have u engaged the flight director by chance?
dpny Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 I had a similar problem tonight. After clicking almost randomly on the AP panel, it engaged.
philipp Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 There has been exactly 0 change to the autopilot from 1.1.1 to 1.2 so whatever you are experiencing now is probably because you haven't flown the CRJ for a while before the last update came out ...Philipp
centerforcekid Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 Hello all.Yes FD is engaged. i know the yaw dampners and FD, hdg bug need to be engaged. are there any other 'gotchas' that need to be active?it's weird because it works fine if I start with the 'engines running'. It's like i'm missing a step in the process for the 'cold dark startup in the tutorial'.and Philipp i have been flying it since i got V1.1 a month or so ago and could never get the AP to work from a cold start up.thanks to you all however, it's nice to have input.Pat.
Japo32 Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) So if you never made it work then something is missing by your side. Have you followed the video tutorials? Edited October 10, 2011 by Japo32
centerforcekid Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 I have to assume I'm somehow missing a step. It works fine if I start with the engines running. So that is what i will do.tonight, i'll try just gong thru the checklist instead of the tutorial. I'm obviously doing something wrong....thanks anyway!Pat.
