Change from NAV1 to NAV2 by adding new key assignment

Hi guys I have tried to set this key assignment (AUTOPILOT/HSI_SELECT_NAV2) to change from NAV1 TO NAV2 directly from my keyboard, but it does not appear to be working all! What do u think I should do to make it work, because the right panel NAV SOURCE knob is quite uncomfortable:-)

Don't you mean left panel? That knob as others is driven by custom dataref. You can see a list of all in the old support 1.0 forum. So with a plugin that can control custom datarefs changes with keyboard strokes. I believe that plugin is inside the org.
