NZWN - NSTU. Planned through SimBrief.

All checklist items follwed.

1000Nm away from NSTU, with the aircraft holding the track/altitude and speed nicely..........

GNSS only comes up on FMC, SVS goes inop. Aircraft no longer tracks FMS1 and autopilot defaults to Roll hold mode.  Cant even engage Heading mode on the autopilot to fly in the general right direction which is very annoying. Has happened twice in two flights.

What is going on? Why cant i select heading mode?
