Cannot install

Hello,

I am trying to install the G5 into XP-11 aircraft on my Windows 10 x64 gaming PC.  I am using the current Steam edition of XP-11, which is located on my D: drive.  After initial installation, I was able to load and fly the G5 C172, and the gauges worked perfectly.  I have since tried to install the gauge for use as a popup in a number of default and add-on aircraft with no success.  The installer (win 64) runs, I point it to the appropriate aircraft folder, and it completes with a success message.  Unfortunately, no g5.cfg file appears in the root folder of the desired aircraft, nor is any popup available from the plugin menu (nor x-aviation popout menu).  It's as if the installer did absolutely nothing.

Hoping I can get some help with this install, or perhaps instructions and files for a manual install.
