Dual E7300 vs. Quad Q8300

Hello,

I am currently having a Core 2 Duo E7300 with 2GB RAM on Intel DG35EC board, the GPU is Nvidia GTS250

When I run the CRJ200, I see a good FPS rate at ~25-30fps, but both CPU cores are at 100% all the time, which results in slower simulation. Eventually during the flight, the fps drops to 19

I've also tested with quite low rendering options, but without much success.

so... I'm now considering to replace my CPU with Q8300, but looking at several gaming reviews, I have some doubts...

I know that the E7300 has a little bit higher frequency, some say it can even be over clocked to 4GHz, but on another hand both X-Plane and the CRJ200 module are getting the max from all cores.

I would go with Q8300, but would really appreciate some others opinion as well.
