Airframe manager issues

I'm brand new to this awesome model, but am having problems saving a new airframe so that I can select a different model from the 'Fly' menu. I have saved two models with two different liveries and registrations, one being the red devil and the other steel blue. Having flown one of them and wishing to change model, although two aircraft are available to select, the livery remains the same but the registration changes.  Please could someone explain the correct procedure for loading and saving different models, thank you.
