sirbum69 Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 (edited) I am curious to know if flying a flight plan using this version of the G1000 is the same as say the one in the stock 172 that comes with x plane. Reason i ask this is because for some reason mine seems to go off in some strange direction even though it says that it is tracking to the way point it should be going to. i had this happen today while flying into KMSP, i had my flight plan set up to do an ILS approach to 12L and it flew everything just fine until i clicked Approach on the autopilot dash. from there it just started making a large turn and then went off in like the complete opposite direction. so i went back to the first way point before the ILS and put activate way point and it showed it was flying direct to but never actually turned or anything to go in that direction. I made sure that it was in NAV mode, and it said AP direct to and was in magenta color. i dont seem to have any issues when i swap back over to the Cessena 172, so am i using this one totally wrong? well i made a new flight and i think for the most part i was able to get the AP to work. so i think this is no longer needed for an answer.
