Saab Tiller

Hi, I'm new to the Saab so I have a lot to learn but one problem I just can't seem to get around is steering on the ground.

I have all systems running and ready to taxi.

Press in the tiller, start the taxi and steer with my Saitek pedals - all ok so far.

But as soon as I touch the brakes to slow down slightly I lose all steering, even if I re-press the tiller in I just can't get steering back.

Am I missing something?
