UH-60 Blackhawk Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I heard about it on the VATSIM forums, but one problem. It works only for IVAO and X-FlightServer. IVAO's website seemed dead, and X-Flightserver only gets traffic on the weekend fly-ins. My question is, how hard would it be to adapt this app to VATSIM? I have little doubt that it is beyond my coding skills, but if someone else in either the X-Plane and/or VATSIM communities would be willing to try changing it, I'd be glad to help in dealing with the BOG and getting it on the approved software list. YYZatcboy Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 It's not authorised for use on any network at the moment other than X-Flight server. (you can connect but get kicked regularly) It's the only thing holding me back from controlling on vatsim. Also, Ben Supnik who wrote the thing says it's dead and will not be developed. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 The code isn't available? Quote
YYZatcboy Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Nope. It has never been open source. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted April 2, 2011 Author Report Posted April 2, 2011 That's too bad, but it's Ben's decision. Just have to wait for Radair. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted April 3, 2011 Author Report Posted April 3, 2011 Ok, well on that note, does anybody have a sector file for O'Hare or the zAU ARTCC for today? I have been unable to find one on the VATSIM's zAU site. Quote
YYZatcboy Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Just download the center sector file. It should have everything you need. Just zoom in on ORD. Are you planning on controlling at the .org flyin? Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted April 3, 2011 Author Report Posted April 3, 2011 Yes, I have received some training from ZTL, knowing that if I got towards the scope part of training I could just use my brother's PC. And I did earlier, as DEN_CTR though because I couldn't find a sector file for any part of ZAU. Got a few aircraft passing through and one departure. Quote
