FlorianR Posted March 23, 2011 Report Share Posted March 23, 2011 My sister just came home today, telling me that in one of their classes they are starting to learn how to use x-plane. Apparently this is part of an engineering project where they will be building a glider from scratch using styrofoam and plastic only, and X-Plane will be used to get familiar with why and how airplanes fly. I was surprised to hear that even students in middle school now have the opportunity to experience something like this, and i couldn't believe that they will use X-Plane v9. Its truly unbelievable how far x-plane has spread across the world in such a short time-span. I hope I can be all the help to my sister when building the aircraft, and I hope this activity sparks some interests in aviation and x-plane in middle-schoolers.I just thought some of you might find this interesting.
