X-Plane freezes while in flight.

I have had this happen a couple times now while flying the TBM. I will be straight and level, not a lot going on and all of a sudden the sim will freeze. The computer is still going, mouse moves, etc. but the sim is stuck. The sound starts to go in and out then finally disappears when the sim freezes altogether. If you do a ctrl+alt+del and hit cancel the sim disappears and you return to the desktop. In task manager I still see x-plane.exe running even though there is no way to open the window again. 

I am running the latest version of stable x-plane 11.25 and the latest 1.0.6 of the TBM. This has happened since I have been flying the TBM, no matter the version so far.

Looking in the x-plane log I do see the following last entry at the time of the sim freezing.

2018-10-25 16:50:25 TBM900[except.c:282]: Something reinstalled our exception handler, replaced it with 0000000000000000

Before this in the log there is nothing but scenery loads as the flight is progressing and no other errors seen. 

Any Idea what I can check?
