IXEG Ground Handling Problem

I'm sure this is my fault, but I can't taxi with this thing.  Tapping the toe breaks sends the ground tiller nuts, there is no stability with taxing.  Am I doing something wrong?  Do you not taxi with rudder and toe brakes?
