Hi,

sometimes it happens that in a approach phase (eg. to EDDS ILS25 coming from south  via REUTL, REUT5A (STAR), REU25 transition) the lateral path particularly at sharp turns (here between waypoint DS525 and DS515)  erroneously will be left in north direction and the distance from DS515 shown in the CDU is counting up not down ! So a correction by selectig heading manually and/or  other means will be necessary. Also to direct to the next waypoint (here to DS513) passing by  the waypoint (DS515) at which the error happened is a cure sometimes.

Question:Is that a bug or more less a realistic behaviour of this FMS system generation used in the 737-300 ? I agree it is a couple of years old!  Can I improve my skills ? Something doing wrong at all?

FMS database: AIRAC 1611, Aerosoft NavdataPRO.

Airplane: IXEG 737 v. 1.07

Company route (incl. SID, STAR) : EDNY ALAG5W ALAGO Z4 ARSUT T125 REUTL REUT5A EDDS

Agreed, a very short flight (ca. 70nm, FL150) just for demonstrating this !

Best regards

That of the sudden LNAV deviations is a known bug of v1.0.7 (I don't recall having the issue with the previous versions) which is under investigation and hopefully will be ironed out in v1.1. ;)

In my view it is the most annoying problem of the plane right now as if VNAV still isn't tuned well, it can be put under control in v/s mode, but when you cannot trust LNAV you can never look away from the ND and that's not relaxing...
