Hello, everyone,

We find it important to provide you with updates to this project when we have something firm to say, and this is one of those times. We apologize if it may seem like there's not many updates here at times, but the reality of the matter is that there truly isn't much to say during various phases of the project. The CRJ project is still very much alive, albeit advancing at a slow pace, and because of this we now feel it important to explain a few things.

The amount of free time some of us on this team for the CRJ have is very limited at the moment and has contributed to the delay in release. Some of it is related to working on getting X-Plane 10 out the door with Laminar work, some of it is related to dealing with private family and personal matters, and some of it is related to the pure complexity of the project. One of the goals for this project is to simulate the real world systems at a very intimate level, and this takes time.

The original intent was to have this aircraft released long ago, however, we underestimated the time to get this product to a release stage we were comfortable with, and while we've made some amazing first-rate advancements, the aforementioned reasons in the previous paragraph remain factors for the release timeline of the CRJ-200. We have made an honest effort to get this project done by Christmas, but in the spirit of giving factual information, we realize within our team that such a timeline is an unreasonable expectation. As such, we felt it prudent to pass that bit of information on to those eagerly awaiting this release as well.

Because of the circumstances of limited time, we cannot make any guarantees on a release time for now. We are close to completion in the grand scheme of things, but the final stretch seems to be the longest.

All said, we realize this type of news is not what our fans want to hear, though things could be worse! We have made an honest effort within ourselves to see this project through, and we want everyone here to know that. The CRJ-200 is still alive, and while we (again) don't believe Christmas is a viable release time, we even then still don't know whether the CRJ will ultimately fall into a release timeframe of X-Plane 9, or X-Plane 10.

Thanks to everyone for thier continued support and excitement toward this project. It is your support that gives us the motivational drive to want to see this through. Again, we apologize for the delay.

Best Regards,

Javier Rollon and Anton Volkov

CRJ-200 Development Team
