Hello Fellow Captains,

I am on my 2nd flight with 1.07 and I am finding that I cannot select VNAV until after FL180.

Is this something new that was added?

I also just lost my right engine climbing out from EIDW. Absolutely no idea how to correct this or why it happened lol. Have custom failures been implemented in this version? Can they be reset?

Regards

Hi Richdem..

About your VNAV issue, when programming the FMC did you check the LEGS page for "route discontinuity"?

Also you have to ensure that all waypoints have speed and altitude (or FL) at the LEGS page after you insert SID/STAR, route, complete the performance page, and execute them all, otherwise you have to insert it manually.

Thanks Jorge,

I didn't check the legs page but I will make sure I do next flight. Up until this version I didn't have any issues. Weird

I will report back

This happens sometimes to me, when the FMC doesn't insert automatically the speed/altitude for the SID's waypoints. Then I do it manually.

You were right thank you,

This morning I re created the flight I did yesterday from LIMC to EIDW. There were some weird numbers in the legs page for altitude levels shortly after departure so I manually adjusted them and VNAV worked as normal.
