Skymax causing ground texture flash

I use X plane with HDR. For a few flights my entire ground textures would intermittently be washed out in a white light. I noticed this in the evening and at night. After trying several things I remembered that I had recently enabled "God Rays". I disabled the rays and the problem went away. Also when I noticed the problem I was flying in an area for which I had downloaded HD textures or was in that unpronounceable dev dryze something New York.

If it would help I could reenable the "God rays" and post a video.
