Just installed this product and so far it has pretty much clobbered everything in my X-Plane install. No small feat, considering I have plugins that cost hundreds of dollars that I will most likely need to pay up for technical support for re-installs. So here's what happened: Install, everything went smoothly. Upon starting X-Plane, heard no new ambient scenery sounds.. whatever... When I tried to start the engines, noticed right off that all my switch configs had been wiped out. Worked around this (Barely, just to get an engine started) and when I finally succeeded in starting an engine, it sounded like a drunk weasel high on meth. So... Lesson learned: Make a FULL backup of your X-Plane dir first before installing this somewhat marginal piece of software. Uninstalled it and still had the same issues. Re-installed my Carenado B1900 aircraft from a backup: Same drunk sound issue. Not sure what the hell happened but... sorely disappointed in SoundMaxx.
