It is still sporting the previous-gen livery at the time of creation so this is a slightly fictional repaint to the blue engine nacelles. VH-KDB MSN 340A-008 Simbrief Link KDB KDB spent the first decade of its life operating in Europe for Brit Air followed by KLM. The aircraft was sold to Kendell Airlines in 1991 and ferried to Wagga Wagga. As the oldest Saab in Rex's fleet, it was withdrawn from passenger service in 2008 and converted to a freighter. It now spends its days based out of YBBN, flying up and down Australia's east coast. iGoConnect is an X-Plane plugin that connects X-Plane to iGoDispatch – an iPad application developed for LES Saab-340A, JRollon's CRJ-200, and IXEG's Boeing-733. The plugin performs the following functions: The plugin receives the following information from the iGoDispatch application: Centre of Gravity offset, payload weight, and fuel weight. After the data have been received, the plugin loads the plane by changing the relevant datarefs in X-Plane. The plugin sends the following X-Plane datarefs (ACARS data) to iGoDispatch: plane’s position (latitude and longitude); heading (true and magnetic); weight; available fuel; current fuel flow; ground speed; and altitude. After the data have been received by iGoDispatch, the application performs other calculations, such as estimation of time and distance given the available fuel, %MAC, and the current CG offset. The plugin receives the current CG offset from the Application and dynamically adjusts it during the flight resulting in greater flight realism. The Plugin monitors flight performance based on approximately 20 parameters and determines possible pilot's errors during the flight. The Plugin also determines the passengers' satisfaction by monitoring the G-force and turbulence experienced during the flight. A performance report can then be sent to and displayed on the Application IMPORTANT! If you have MacOS Catalina (10.15), it is possible that after downloading and installing the plugin, you will not find it in the X-Plane's menu. This error is caused by the MacOS security protocols during the X-Plane start-up process that references a Mac.xpl file. If you do not see iGoConnect in the menu of the simulator, the following link explains how to solve the problem: https://x-plane.helpscoutdocs.com/article/26-mac-xpl-not-starting. If you have problems connecting the iGoDispatch application to the computer with X-Plane running, it is most likely that your Firewall is blocking the TCP connection. You need to open the port to allow connection between your iPad and computer. For Windows: Go to Control Panel > Windows Firewall Click on "Advanced Settings" in the left-hand pane. Click on "Inbound Rules" and then "New rule". Select "Port", click next, select "TCP", and enter "7767" as the local port. Click next, and allow the connection. Click next again, and ensure that "Domain", "Private" and "Public" are all ticked. Name your firewall rule, e.g. "iGoConnect", and then save it. For Mac: Go to System Preferences, and choose the Security and Privacy Tab. Click on the Firewall Tab, and the Firewall options button. The page will show you the applications that are allowed access through your firewall Add new applications to the list by clicking on the plus icon. If you use third-party firewalls, they have their own procedures of adding Ports to TCP connections that may differ from those that I provide in my manual. You need to follow their specific instructions. For example, if you have McAfee in Windows, follow these steps: Open McAfee Total Protection; Open Web and Email Protection; Open Firewall; Open Ports and System Services; Click Add; System Service Name: iGoDispatch. Local TCP/IP Ports: 7767. Open ports to: All PCs. Forward port activity: checked. Click Save. The Manual is also available here: http://igoapp.ca/page_igoconnect/igoconnect_manual.html The plugin supports Windows, Mac (OS X versions 10.7 or later), and Linux.

  16. Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced a problem with the right-hand side LP bleed and recirc not being selectable after engine start. I'm using it for type endorsement practice, and after engine start I can't select these switches. Usually they become accessible after the power has been applied (like after take off)or in the climb/cruise. Running 1.5.1 and latest x-plane and mac updates as of this date. Also, I'm not using the auto-start feature and starting engines manually but it seems to happen regardless of start procedure.
  17. Hi, I had purchased the les saab 340 for x plane 11. Though it was not recommended, the aircraft pretty much loads fine except for the gps. It is unusable and cannot be turned on. I get the error: Run(xp) : G530_main: [string "JGX.2.G530.00.lua.aes"] : attempt to index local 'G530navCycleFileHandle" (a nil value). Is there anyway to make the gps work or will I need to wait till version 1.5 of the saab is released?
  18. Hi all, I want to purchase the Take Command! Saab 340A, however first I need to know whether it works properly with X-Plane 11.00 (NOT BETA). Does it work properly with it? Are there any major bugs? And when will there be an update for it to be compatible with v11? Thanks
  19. Hello, Recently I purchased the Saab 340 and I am so far very pleased with it! At the moment I am attempting to follow the included tutorial and everytime I reach 10,000 ft., I get a CABIN PRESS warning. Tried looking through the manual for how to actually pressurize the aircraft, and though I got a look at the pressurization systems, I wasn't able to pressurize my aircraft the next time I flew and set the knobs according to what the manual indicated. Any help on how to pressurize the Saab and preferably some more information on the pressurization systems would be much appreciated! Thanks
