  1. Hey y'all It's been a while since I've lurked on this forum. I must admit it's very flattering to see that my 767-400 is still the top download in the forum haha. I'll cut straight to the chase, as I'm mostly here to tie up loose ends regarding what has happened to my projects and where I am now. After high school, I simply haven't been able to find time to continue developing the 787 project. The short of it is, the project is dead. Source files for the aircraft probably don't even exist anymore, and if they do, I certainly can't find them. I do apologize for being so silent on the issue, I genuinely didn't anticipate how crazy life would become in the years after 11th grade. These days, I don't really fly anymore, though I'm tempted to jump back into it some day. That being said, I still work a lot in the 3D modelling and CGI world now as a full time job, working with VR imaging companies and doing my own CGI visualization and photography work in the automotive industry. (I've enclosed some examples of my recent work, if you guys are curious). I'd like to try and get back into the community eventually, just as a member for the forseable future, and maybe someday as a developer again. Cheers. Michael.

  3. Hi! While my 787 is working rather well in V9, however when I open the plane in V10, there's a strange issue. The cockpit instruments are semi-transparent during the day and become opaque and properly visible at night. Can anyone help me diagnose this issue? I've already tried checking the light attributes in blender and trying the part transparency in plane maker but none of them seem to fix the issue. If anyone can help me out, that'd be great I attached images of the parts as they appear day and night
  4. HEY! FSXP is excited to announce that we'll be starting a new project, slated for release in 2014! Hiroshi, the modeller of our 787 and 767 exteriors has created another family of planes and wants the planes to be available in x-plane too! The series is being dubbed the 737NG Basic, and will be built over the next six months. No comment yet on whether a 3d cockpit or cabin will be added. The Basic dub means that it won't feature a lot of advanced tech like plugin control or 3d cockpit, it's designed more for simple flying and nice visuals. The project will also feature full livery compatability forward and backwards, meaning any textures from FSX for this plane can be directly copied in to the .png format and vice versa. The project will be developed alongside the 787 and will share the same animation techniques used on the 787. The project is expected to contain between 30 and 40 planes, ranging from the 600 to the MAX series jets. Other features for the planes will include: -Three types of winglets -eyebrows or no eyebrows -air stairs -ground services, including refueling trucks, GPU and a push back -quality 3d models -accurate flight model (no plugin control though) -2d panel (no comment on 3d panel)

  6. okay. It's become quite evident, that some of the liveries uploaded to this site that are of my 767, are converted versions of their FSX counterparts. Now although none of the FSX painters have any issues with it yet, it would be prefered if everyone who posts such liveries credit the original designers as the creators of the paint. This is a list of Authors who permit conversions of their paints: Brandon Henry Philip Foglar Stephen Groom Stefan Bree Other painters should be consulted first. Understand, it's totally fine to convert those paints, since they were literally MADE for this jet, but please, give proper credits when proper credits are due. ~Michael~
