well...you know what its SUPPOSED to stand for.   I'm going to let out a bit of a secret here.  The whole idea of "dated" will definitely apply as I continue.....

I've mentioned wanting to do some additional projects...and no, I'm not going to spill any beans yet...not till the XP12 versions of the IXEG and MU2 are done.  BUT....in doing additional projects, I'm collaborating with some other folks....and just so happens in one case, I'm collaborating with one other person....and in the other case, I'll be collaboration with TWO other people. ...and we're all over 50......SO...TOGA stands for:

in case 1:   Two  Old Guys  Aviation   (simulation)

in case 2:  Three Old Guys Aviation (simulation)

So that's the back story of where TOGA came from.  It just so happens (lucky for us) to be associated with aviation :)   TOGA, TOGA, TOGA.....

Yeppers, you were around for the JB movement. Amazing how time flies isn't it. I do like your analogy though.. Good job on the MU2 captain, outstanding work.

  2. Sort of off topic here, but EVERY TIME I come to this forum and see TOGA (and I know what it stands for) I here myself saying TOGA TOGA TOGA. You have to be a little dated to get this one.. Was an epic movie of old... :lol::lol::lol:

Keep up the good work TK...

I am at around 60 fps with all graphics feature at minimum, and I still get an occasional oscillation in the tracking direction when driven by the Avidyne Trainer XP in the NAV mode. Is there anything else I could tweak to eliminate this?

    Thanks!

Try adjusting your Mixture (either direction slowly) and see if that helps. You should hear the motor smooth out when in the correct mixture. Good Luck.. :)

Aye....I grew up around Port Arthur....and worked in Clear Lake from 2015-2019...so quite familiar with your 'neck of the woods'   I can only assume you'll be at FlightSimExpo 2023 :)

FYI....looks like I'll be adding 3 more variants with various combos of GNS/GTNs......  a 650/530  combo....a 750/430 combo....and a 650/750 combo.   I think that should cover all the RXP options for Windows users.

    TomK

Done some good fishing in Lake Sabine, I live in Baytown. As for the FSExpo, I doubt it I just read about those.. ;)

As for the Combos, I wasn't aware that could even be done since they are two separate programs. If it works, that would be very cool. Good Luck guy..

    @Pivot

Thx for setting this up John.  I just got my windows 10 machine up and running and had no issues getting these two units up and running as you described.  (.ini + "use simulator GPS commands).   Can't say I'm proficient  using a dual GPS setup (I defer to you guys).....just let me know if anything else is needed for the GNS units.  I'll be starting the GTN variants shortly.

    TK

Anytime TK glad to help. I see we both reside in the Great State of Texas.. B)

FOR OTHERS....since the prefs are saved, uncheck the chocks preference and restart the flight..that may fix it as the prefs are loaded at "aircraft load" and since the prefs are saved, that should keep the chocks from being put in place and negating the steering until I can deploy the next fix.

This has not helped at all. I am now stuck without NW Steering. I have tried the noted trick, no joy, have deleted the GNS 5Blade Pref file, no joy. has this not been corrected yet? I am using version 2.0.1. Where is the command located and are we able to change it manually? I was having a ball with this plane now I just run into anything in front of me..

Ctrl-alt-shift-space iirc, that generates the preview image in the cockpit3d-panels folder.

Yes, and this is the output file I was referring too. As you can see, it is pretty much all black and I don't think the two areas top-right are the instruments since they are the same dimension and vertical. Using the integration instructions, you need to know where the top left and bottom right corners exist in this preview to locate the X/Y positions of the gauge screen (for each unit 530/430). Without a visible representation, it would be a guessing game to determine where X1/Y1 positions even are. No biggie, though the RXP's are way beyond the XP capability for GNS units.

By the way for the Developer, glad you brought this bird into XP-11+, she has deserved this flight for some time..  :)

    Tom,

I'd be interested in using the RXP GNSs - I think it's just a matter of providing a config file with some parameters and coordinates for the panel textures, but I haven't looked into it myself and I don't know if you would need to plumb into any different datarefs.

    David

I was going to attempt this integration last night only to find the Panel Preview doesn't show the placeholders for the GNS devices. No way to confirm sizing and location to implement them. If the Developer could indicate the placeholders in the panel file it could be done.

  9. Just got around to another hop in my TBM this morning. This aircraft is a dream to fly. Used it to fly an AH2 Cargo hop, "FLAWLESS". Entire process, startup to shutdown went without issues. Absolutely love this bird.. It had been a while since I've flown XP and the only maintenance required since, was an oil change.  B) No problem for the ground crew, they knocked it out while I loaded the cargo. :D

Thanks again to all at Hot Start, wonderful work!

  10. Just wanted to thank you all again. I love my hangar of SR22's both types 1000 & Entegra. Just did a short hop in the updated Entegra in VR and had a tremendous experience. All was outstanding and even with overcast conditions I didn't see any issues with frame rates though I don't use any SSAA in VR, only FXAA.

Again, Love it, you all keep up the fantastic work over there. Best birds in the sky!!!
