  1. Does this only happen when the flaps are fully retracted?

Further, what are you using to control the flaps? Keyboard, buttons, or a hardware lever? Try an alternate control method to the one you're using, and see if the issue persists, because we've never encountered this in either testing or our own flying.

  2. @maxflaps As Coop says: The engine model on the BN-2B is purely X-Plane.

On the Islander's carb temp gauges, the GREEN ZONE is the one to avoid. Really it should be RED, because the temperatures marked out are perfect for icing (+5 to -25 C)!!

If you get another chance to test, keep a closer eye on the carb temps. You say you were running 28" manifold pressure, but what were the carb temps then? Were you already using heat? Were they inside or out of the 'green'? What was the outside air temperature? And how long had you been at those settings?

By request, here's the 4 bladed and MT props adapted for the BN-2T.

All necessary textures are included in the pack, as are the appropriate prop blurs for the MT propellers.

    Installation:

    1. Make a backup of props_2t.obj, props_2t_ALB.png, props_2t_NRM.png, and deice_boots_2t.obj.
    2. Copy the files from either the 4-bladed or 5-bladed folders to the Turbine Islander's objects folder.
    3. If you use the 5-bladed MT props, copy the files from to_main_folder. Don't forget to backup the BN-2T Islander G5_prop.png and BN-2T Islander_prop.png textures first!

Because all three possible variants use their own textures in the object folder you don't need to worry about overwriting anything there. Keep backups regardless, but the switching around here should be a lot easier.

  4. TorqueSim BN-2 Islander Props Pack

Okay, so this is what it says on the tin ;)

It's 3- and 4-bladed props, built from my original Blender files for this aircraft. I know some people have been wanting these for a while.

They are literally modified meshes from the 2-bladed props, with transferred animations, changed deicers (to get the correct deice config on the blades), and use the same textures as the originals. They should be compatible with just about any livery, only caveat is that due to the UV mapping, fancy spinners (aka multi-hued) may not work.

The props themselves are still wearing the Hartzell colors. If you want different textures, I'll leave that up to y'all livery painters.

    Enjoy!

    Installation:

    1. Make a backup of propellers.obj and deice_boots.obj (located in the 'objects' folder of the Islander).
    2. Copy the propellers.obj and deic_boots.obj from either the props_4b or the props_3b folder into the Islander's 'objects' folder, overwrite, load up, and go.
    3. To revert, just restore your backup.

  5. This image might have been made prior to a pretty significant rework of the interior during the latter stages of the development process, but I can't remember for sure anymore. The frames may have simply gotten lost at some point prior to initial release due to workload/whatever. Stuff happens. For 1.2 I'm hoping to do some more work on the interior which may see these items restored, but that's still a few months down the line. :)

  6. Hi @DB Marsh

All of our light and electrical switches are tied to custom datarefs, not the default ones. This was done in order to intergrate them with our electrical system. If you would like your hardware to communicate with our plugin, I'd suggest the following:

Make a separate controls profile for the Islander. Then, with the aircraft loaded, in Settings -> Joystick edit your button assignments to use the commands made for the Islander. Just type 'islander' into the search box, and it should give the whole list.

  7. Hi guys! We've heard about the switches and preferences regarding those, and the click-switches should be included in the 1.1 update, possibly even with an option to switch between those and the click-and-drag version.

We'll get the 'switches not working' issue resolved once the rest of the team is back up, but right now they're catching some well-deserved rest.

    Thanks for your patience, guys!
