  1. Thanks for the info Tom,

one major issue with the current VNAV profile happens when we have restrictions with below and above altitudes for one fix. It seems to be taking the higher restriction and simply convert it into an above one, ending of course in a very steep descent to catch up. I am sure you are already aware of it. While it forces me to precisely check my fpl against the charts and raises my situation awareness, most users I talk to are not aware and they tend to get frustrated after a while. hope it makes sense

    cheers

    Oscar

Oh, ok - that is interesting! I will talk to Tom about it, but that should be possible...

    Thanks for the feedback, Jan

yep, would be cool! after all this is a Classic and not an Airbus that has to do things the wrong way round ;-)

Thanks for reminding me how old I am.  :(

A lot has happened in the last decade. It's no secret that Jim, who was coding the Citation, was hired by Laminar soon after the Saab was done.  It's a guaranteed income working on X-Plane.  I don't know any developer who would say no to that.  I decided to work on a new version of the C23, DC3, (including the mobile version), Saab 340 and get up to speed on PBR workflows, which included learning how to UV map and texture 3D mesh.  Prior to the Saab, I had no clue how to do this.  And then the TBM 900 project fell on my "virtual desk" at the beginning of 2018.

Back then, when we were working on the Citation, we didn't think demand for the Saab would be what it is.  There is an overwhelming response to get it upgraded to XP11+ standards.

So, to cut it short, will it be finished?  We want it to be finished, and we plan to get it finished.  But it all depends on Jim's and my schedules.  I still have 3D model and textures.

ETA?  We stopped giving out ETA's a few years ago.  Simply because when we do, they always backfire on us.

However, I'm hoping that in the meantime, the CL650 I'm working on will give the bizjet fans their bizjet fix.

Thanks for your transparency, after experiencing the good old Saab always looking forward to whatever you release next...

....note: my big wish (and awaiting patiently for the update) is captain Jan to tweak and release the FM update for xp11 to behave as it did on xp10 days. Such a joy to flight and how it behaved during rotation, flaring, etc.

Michelf and other pilots in Europe who have problems with loading.

Can you please try the following to verify my hypothesis?

    1) Go to Control Panel.

    2) Go to Clock and Region.

    3) Go to Region.

    4) Tab Formats. In the Format drop-down menu, select English (United States) or English (Canada)

    5) Click Apply.

    6) Tab Administrative. Click on Change system locale. In the Current system locale drop-down menu, select  English (United States) or English (Canada). Click OK.

    7) Click OK. Close Control Panel. Restart the computer.

Please try if this solved your problem and let me know. If this is the culprit, this will be a temporary workaround and will be fixed in the next update.

    Cheers.

Hi, I live in France and have some terrible stuff going on in my PC due all those languages I have to write and have to be supported , about 5 or so...)

after setting the above to US,  at least I got to the point where the payload was transferred to the plane, but no luck with the fuel ... the best I got to was that the tanks get emptied but no way to set fuel to the 5 metric tons (or about 11 K lbs) through the app.

    cheers/O

  6. if I try to evaluate ROI as (time spent) / (money spent)  there is nothing that comes even close to this beautiful aircraft, and I include other sims with their most respected add-ons

if I consider what I learnt due to those "major" issues on VNAV, I am tempted to ask deteriorating a few more systems in future updates

    Happy New Year everyone

  7. for a start, I would recommend to post this in the respective sub-forum. which aircraft are you talking about? IXEG? LES?...

posting a specific add-on issue in a generic "help" forum reduces the probability of some concerned developer seeing your message.

then, there used to be an issue with the ticket system, whereby you were not allowed to send in multiple requests with the consequence of the first one being put back in the queue... not sure if this one is still accurate, though
