  1. Hi Jan

Did a test flight today from ENGM to ENDU and followed your reccomendation to use lvl chg and heading for the appraoch. The ILS was captured but the plane never capture the G/S, not on LNAV, not on HDG or VOR/LOC

So basically I had to do 3 approached today ending with a visual landing

This is just insane frustrated, is the airplane at all capable of an ILS approach?

Glad you got the ILS working.

The aircraft is not in CLIMB mode while descending on the ILS tutorial video, CLB represents what available N1 limit you have if required. NOT the aircraft flying phase.

YES, off course this aircraft is capable of an ILS approach, but the aircraft must be in APP mode to capture the G/S (LNAV, HDG, VOR/LOC all them are LATERAL guidance, none of them will capture the G/S).

      Basic guidelines:

      1. Use LNAV or HDG mode for lateral guidance. Use FLCH or V/S to position the aircraft in the proper altitude as per the ILS procedure.

      2. Switch to LOC mode on the MCP when appropriate to start getting LOCalizer (lateral) guidance to the runway.

      3. When the G/S comes alive, switch to APP mode on the MCP. Once the aircraft crosses the G/S vertical path it will start descending automatically (vertical guidance).

note: be sure you set ILS freq. and CRS course correctly as per the ILS chart.

There are several tutorial videos how to use this aircraft systems. Hope this helps

  3. Hi, I am the one having the nasty crash bug on climbing phase with 733+flywitlua. I used your fuel cutoff script as base for configuring a few aircraft. I attach the last logs on the crash flight as well as the script (maybe the culprit?)

Thanks for reading and your contributions to this hobby!

      Hi Max

your log shows you are crashing due to gizmo stack overflow. this is coming from manipulating the aircraft datarefs via flywithlua plugin.

i would suggest you try the latest gizmo update and see if this fixes the issue. see the link below for downloading latest plugin and update procedure.
