    Thanks for the link, interesting read.

     

    Are there any pictures or videos showing a city/urban area, agricultural area etc. It seems like outterra is all about mountains/woodland, sometimes showing a random village. Is that beyond the scope of outterra or just not_done_yet?

    Been a long time user of X-Plane 10 and running it on a beast of a system and also using Real Terra Haze, Skymax and Reshade. Trust me, Outerra's rendering engine is leagues above XP10s. Real time atmospheric scattering, AO and ton of other things which gives the whole environment a very realistic feel that can't be achieved in X-plane 10 at the moment.

     

    Take a look at this video

     

    Notice how realistic the A380 looks in this video. That is because of how the light interacts with the aircraft surfaces. No need to bake textures anymore because everything is handled by the Sim's engine.

    Atleast we will get to fly this aircraft one day. That thought alone keeps me satisfied and happy. Ask me how it feels to wait for 5 years for an aircraft to be released just to find out at the end that the project has been cancelled. Yes, I am talking about XPJets 777. No offense to xpjets devs. I am sure they wanted the aircraft to see the light of the day as much as we wanted to. 

     

    So yeah be patient and wait it out. It will be worth the wait.

    That's a choice you make, not me. Feel free. 

     

    The partisan talk is rubbish, and if you do not have the ability to take your feelings out of the equation I cannot help that. I didn't shed my opinion in this thread. I objectively answered this topic and posts. If you want to take it further, go ahead. You'll certainly hear my $0.02.

    You might want to take a look at the same thread in Avsim forum. I am not judging and certainly don't want to argue. Just take a look at the comments there regarding X-Pilot and Ben's behavior. Looks like some people don't even want to comment here after what they just saw. No matter how you try to justify Ben's posts in this thread and I am not sure if you have noticed this by now, quite alot of people have realized that his 'attitude' was really uncalled for.
