  1. Yes, this is normal. IXEG was released before VR. Updating the IXEG GUI windows to new XP11 style is on the list but it's not a very high priority item compared to everything else.

  3. You can run the updater fro X-Plane and it will place that file back in..... We do not remove anything, either it was manually removed or the file became corrupt. I’ve seen this occasionally when a hard drive sector goes kaput....

  4. Sorry - I did not see your response until later. I actually just went ahead and completely reinstalled the aircraft and that seemed to fix the problem.

  5. Can you send the log.txt file after loading the aircraft so we can get a better idea of what is causing this?

  7. Hi, Jan. I thought so too. Maybe X-Visibility, TrueShade or something like this. I'll troubleshoot and if I find it, I'll let you know.

  9. Another weekly update. The rather rigorous testing of route editing over the last week had brough forth a few more issues, not unexpected during such a substantial rewrite though... but without a doubt, there are substantially less issues with route editing. Jan's last round of route testing, he was unable to get a gizmo crash when changing procedures aggressively and could swap any procedure at any time. Our goal here is for folks to not be scared of to push any buttons on the procedures page during descent / approach for fear of a gizmo crash, and be confident they'll get the route they expect. So, for example, you can select a STAR and transition.....and fly that without knowing your arrival... and then select your arrival later and it'll just get "added" to your routing. I know I say this every time, we have not begun the VNAV rewrite though....so we can't say how the VNAV predictions will turn out just yet. We have a very small list of issues to wrap up, which I will be trying to tend to this weekend so we can get this patch out asap. After, I will examine the waypoint restrictions and then finally analyze the VNAV and set upon improving that feature. -tkyler

  10. Actually I just updated my IXEG 737 and it asked at install if I wanted to install Gizmo Beta ... I said yes and the warning has gone away (for now at least)

  11. It wasn't "too strong" - people need to learn how to use the rudder and rudder trim! I'd argue it wasn't enough (takeoff rudder trim still overpowered p-factor). If the aircraft is trimmed correctly, the rudder input required should be minimal, except for the initial roll before the rudder becomes effective. As a real-life pilot, this dumbing of simulators in this way really grinds. The real thing pulls, and requires the pilot to be...a pilot, and actually fly the thing.
