  1. Hi, Sorry for the delay. Please stand down. It is resolved. I plead ignorance. I pulled in the G5 without owning the GTN and Gizmo.txt was telling me it couldn't find a license. I removed the G5 stuff and all is well. Apologize for the unnecessary involvement. Have a great day! ~Robert

  3. For not getting the brakes too hot, use the propeller reverse (beta) for braking action

  4. Hi, If you are using the Vulkan drivers, the AoA gauge is not working. Goran promised us that they are trying to solve this. Also, with Vulkan, the rain will not show on the plane's windscreen. Hopefully, Saso will make the librain working with Vulkan also

  5. Professionnal aviation is definitely an art ! I have found this precious button, thanks again. I did a gizmo reboot and it works.

  6. No worries at all - the button is pretty inconspicuous (on top of the EFB) - and I made Tom make one (before the tab was always on) - because I thought it looked odd to enter a "cold and dark" cockpit and the laptop is running. Background story here is that we have EFB´s in our real aircraft, too - of course. Procedure is to shut down the EFB when you shut down and leave the aircraft, but some people simply forget (he who is without sin may throw the first stone!) and when the battery goes dead, so does the display of the EFB (even though the tablet itself is still running in its docking station). So sometime during the night the tablet will reach low power and go to sleep mode. But for some odd reason it will not wake up from it again, UNLESS you take it out of the docking station, flip it open, and hold down the power button for a few seconds. The problem is - we are not allowed to do that - it´s considered a maintenance task. So basically if you are on an outside station in the morning with no company maintenance available, you would have to contract a certified engineer, fill out a bunch of paperwork, do a million phonecalls (incur a few hundred Euros of cost) and delay the flight for a minimum of one hour. Or break the rule, take the laptop out, start it up and be done with it. Which I would never do, of course. Hence my obsession with the power button Cheers, Jan

  7. Thanks @Coop - After I posted earlier I did a quick test to see what the engine does in 'strange' conditions - I was able to maintain full torque until around 25,000 feet (Is this a 680HP engine or one that has a higher SHP rating and is flat rated down?) Temperature never really left the 400s. I then for laughs wondered how high I could go - I gave up at around FL550 - Torque was way down but the temp was around 530 on the ITT, it was great fun but I imagine IRL the engine would have well and truly melted by that point. I might take a look at some engine performance documents for the Piper Cheyenne II, which uses the same engine (Am I right thinking you modelled a PT6A-28?) - IIRC that aircraft has some poke to it but I don't recall its performance limits, of course the fancy prop on the rocket will give it somewhat of an advantage too. Edit: BTW - regarding point 1 above, take a look at this link https://developer.x-plane.com/2016/12/fight-model-improvements-done-for-x-plane-11-00/ It looks like somewhere along the way austin modelled in this behavour in order to make it match his real life PT6 equipped Lancair. Edit2: Sorry forgot to mention - I've tried the start with prop full forward and at feather, same behaviour.

  8. Thx a lot guys! I just found the culript, by deactivating the running plugins, one by one. It was OpenVFR´s Iceberg plugin... I always used this plugin, as it also offers a nice fix for the water in XP. But with XP 11.50 b11, it seems to cause some problems. However, the fault wasn´t at your end! ;-) Thx again for this great addon! And yeah, Coop! Good to be back in the saddle (cockpit), again... ;-)

  9. This image might have been made prior to a pretty significant rework of the interior during the latter stages of the development process, but I can't remember for sure anymore. The frames may have simply gotten lost at some point prior to initial release due to workload/whatever. Stuff happens. For 1.2 I'm hoping to do some more work on the interior which may see these items restored, but that's still a few months down the line.

  11. BIG UPDATE! So I realised that I modelled the fuse off a badly drawn 3-View cad supplied by Boeing on their website (Which I'm almost certain is the same CAD FlightFactor used too)...so the fuselage is redone and retextured (third times the charm ;_; ) and I'm going back to my trusty old -200ER. So here is the brand new fuselage with new PW4000 engines too!!
