  1. Hello all! I've been wondering if anyone here will make a nice looking 777, FlightFactor's rendition was comprehensive in the systems, but not so much in visual accuracy. This is my first legitimate aircraft project, It will have a few short comings in terms of detail (but my aim here is to attain the highest level of modelling accuracy), I used Hiroshi Igami's 777 (from POSKY, they're now TDS) as a base, then redid the engines, wings etc and remapped and retextured any model thats used. UPDATE: I scrapped most of the modelled redid the aircraft, starting with the most popular choice at the moment: 777-300ER, check latest post for latest images! One thing about 777s that I like is the wing flex, and FF unfortunately didn't simulate that very well. My wing model is sliced into 7 sections to ensure a smooth and almost-seamless flex. The landing gear also is sized correctly (hehe) and isn't a 200ER landing gear (theres no wiring and no cantilever system in the front). Yes it's going to be freeware, it's a learning project for me, a project launched after being dissatisfied of FF's 777, and also learning to animate. Without further ado, here are lé screenshots for you to feast on. Many thanks to: Jeffrey Chen: for his help advising about animation Goran Matovina: for advising me about the fan blade animations (stuck on it for days) Hiroshi Igami: for his model, and continuous assistance and support in this project ____ Possibly released under Aerobridge Studios.

Hello I made this LUA-script for randomly enable the built-in IXEG failures. The script enables the built-in IXEG failures + engine fire, engine failure and oil pumps. Have your QRH ready. Available failures by IXEG. The script activates when your GroundSpeed is higher then 40 knots. Settings: (edit the IXEG_Failures.lua) -- Here you set if the failures should be default enabled or disabled when your starting up X-Plane. -- Set true to enable failures, false to disable. Default is true. true and false have to be written with lowercase letters. EnableFailures_WizVar = true -- Mean time between failures (MTBF) is the predicted elapsed time between inherent failures of a system during operation. -- Default is MTBF_hours = 20.0. See further down for of a example of MTBF set to 10 hours. MTBF_hours = 20.0 -- Max simultaneous failures pr session -- Default is Max_Failures = 2 -- The highest numbers of failures is 27 -- setting above this can crash x-plane Max_Failures = 2 -- Set the level of failures you want. -- 1 = Minor failures, 2 = Minor and Major failures, 3 Minor, Major and Critical failures. FailureSeverity = 3 "ADVANCED OPTIONS" -- Set 'ImminentFailure' to 1 to enable the imminent failure option. When this option is enabled you can trigger a imminent failure with setting the SERVICE INTERPHONE to ON position on the overhead panel. -- The SERVICE INTERPHONE will switch back to OFF when a failure is triggered. -- The 'ImminentFailureMTBF' (in minutes) is the MTBF used when you enable the 'ImminentFailure' and set the SERVICE INTERPHONE to on. -- Default is 0. ImminentFailure = 0 -- Default is 5 (in minutes) ImminentFailureMTBF = 5 The Service Interphone switch How to enable or disable failures (for the session) with FlywithLua menu. MTBF: This graph shows a example how often you can expect a failure when you set the MTBF to 10 hours. Requirement: - You need FlyWithLua installed - XP10: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/17468-flywithlua-for-xp9-and-xp10/XP11: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/35579-flywithlua-for-x-plane-11-and-10-windows-linux-mac-os-x-version/ - Tested on X-Plane 11 with Windows 10. Installation: - Simply place the script in [X-Plane]\Resources\plugins\FlyWithLua\Scripts Logging: Every failure is logged. You can find the logfile in your X-Plane root folder. The logfile is called IXEG_Failures.log Here is a sample of the logfile. Known bugs/limitations: - None. But please report if you find one Support: For support please visit: http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/11350-lua-script-randomly-enables-ixeg-failures/

  3. I am actually in agreement with some of your statements. When we released the plane, it was not "complete". We tried to shed a light on this with this post http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/8526-things-that-are-not-going-to-be-in-v10/ . I have tried to be upfront about the shortcomings of the product at the time of release - this was not without debate in the team! It is not normal to highlight the shortcomings of your product in this industry, and if you look at the product description of other add-ons and compare that with the actual product released, you may find some discrepancies there, too . At the time of release we faced the decision to either release (and fix the shortcomings later on) or to stop work on it altogether. I think that the plane, even in it´s current status, does carry value. At least that is what the majority of user feedback indicates to us. It was our intention (and my belief) that the team would be able to provide fixes to shortcomings and the missing items in a more timely manner. I personally feel disappointed about this myself. I can say for myself that I worked in support of the 737 continously in the last 12 months - but I am not a programmer or a 3D artist, so I have to rely on the part of the team in charge of that. Morten stated correctly that the patch 1.1 for XP10 has been done (for several weeks now). I have also completed the interim "compatibility patch" for XP11, including the flight-model adjustments. We have not added the new "material properties" (again, I can´t do that with my lack of 3D-skills), but the plane flies (and taxis!) in XP11 just as well as it does in XP10. We are waiting for Ben and X-Aviation to deliver the new Gizmo version (as Morten mentioned) so we can get the patch to you. It is not in the IXEG´s team´s hands, and hopefully Ben is up to speed again soon after getting hit with the flood to clear this milestone and then we can progress. Jan

  5. Ok guys, big update!! X-Plane 11 is out, and boy! is the new material model gorgeous. After a bit of studying the normal maps from the 737, I did some test with PBR maps myself and I got to say that this is amazingly satisfying. Its a week worth of producing metalness maps for the normals. Some more model edits includes a basic 3D cockpit model for exterior, new liveries and texture edits. Enjoy the screenshots!!
