B733 Failure No Landing Gear Extension

Every now and then I encounter the issue, that the right main gear is not going down. Ok so far, but :

- It is always the right main gear, never one of the others. Is the failure perhaps modeled only for this one ?

- I did not succeed so far in extending the gear manually. QRH says, this is possible in every gear handle position by pulling the manual extension handle, but never ever I could extend even one of the gears. Is this function modeled at all or am I doing something wrong ?

Can anyone please assist here ?

This sounds like maybe a default failure of X-Plane is invoked that makes the gear "stuck"? There is no failure coded into the IXEG 737 that will make a single gear not extend - if you fail the A hydraulics (either through the failure menu or by simply not turning on the pumps) the gear will not extend, but the manual gear extension will drop it.

I don´t have the QRH in front of my, but going by memory pulling the manual gear extension handle on the cockpit floor will ONLY manually release the uplock hooks (they hold the gear in the up position). But if you still have hydraulic power holding the gear up, it will not extend. So if the gear lever is in UP and A pressure is available, releasing the uplocks will not do anything.

There are certain failures (like the gear handle being stuck in the UP position) that trap A pressure, so to bring the gear down you have to release the pressure by first depressurizing the A system by turning off the pumps and THEN cycling certain A hydraulic users, for example the speedbrakes.

Thanks for your immediate reply. Tested it and this is, what I found out.

I use the IXEG_Failure script to induce random failures, but it was not active at this flight, therefore I don`t understand that this happened at all.

I could not create the situation again, thus I was not able to test things with gear lever down. With gear lever up, manual extension of the gear does not work. With gear lever in OFF, it works as expected, independent of hydraulic the pressure. 

Would have helped to read the complete sentence in the QRH : in the NG manual gear extension can be accomplished with landing gear lever in ANY position. However for standardization with the CL the lever is placed to OFF.
