Ch.Cole
Quick question: Is it flyable/ enjoyable in its current state? And will there be a discount if I buy it now?

tkyler
A bit more progress on the cockpit. The window trim proved to be really difficult to get lined up where everything looks "proportionate" with all the reference pictures / angles. But with those out of the way, things are moving a bit quicker again. The panel shown here is th legacy panel, not the new one...so that also will get a "detail" makeover. -tkyler Edited October 29, 2020 by tkyler

Quite a bit more progress on the cockpit. Finally some "downhill work" after messing about with the interior trim -tkyler

tkyler
more 3D porn for the attentive. Nowadays, the 3D has to deliver excruciating detail, so its a big screenshot so nobody is getting faked out. Immersion is the name of the game! I'm getting close to wrapping up the cockpit geometry (texturing is another matter). After that I move to some details on the landing gear, then the wings...then FMOD sounds and the programming and texturing; however, with as much experience as I've had with this aircraft, I don't think the programming of the systems is the long straw. Its a relatively simple (but FAST!) aircraft and I have lots of legacy code from my IXEG and current MU2 code base that I'm pulling from anyhow. This screenshot displays new yoke and HSI geometry...and not in the screenshot is the AP 'swing-up' console below the quadrant and new pedals, but they're done also. Currently I'm sweeping through all the instruments, adding 3D detail. For those wondering about IXEG progress... given this MU2 report....its getting frequent attention also. The MU2/IXEG are both priority this year. I'm fully back in X-Plane work and working agressively to stay on pace with XP12 (whenever that is, anybody's guess) for both these aircraft. I'm 'hoping' for summer release for this MU2..whether early/late I couldn't say....but its safe to say I'm easily 85% done with the 3D for version 2.0 (texturing not included) -tkyler Edited February 13, 2021 by tkyler 9

tkyler
V1.0 vs V2.0 Unlike my body, age has done better for the Moo. Work progressing heavily. -tk 9
tkyler
still moving....wings and flaps are last of 3D before the fun of texturing/painting starts...beginning those now. 7
Otto Groschenbügel
My favorite plane ! Can't stand the waiting DANKESCHÖN !!
tkyler
steady as she goes still. Working through flap mechanisms (the visible stuff) atm; however, its time for the Oshkosh airshow week, so no work for about 2 weeks. After though, I'll resume full time work on the Moo again. After flap mechanisms are complete is the nosegear 3D, then a final pass over all the 3d to look for any overlooked 3D "holes"...and once those are cleaned up, will start the texturing, hopefully by mid-August. -tkyler 6
tkyler
..now back from Oshkosh. I changed my mind and did the nose gear first. Now to finish the flaps and then the misc 3d "fill in" pass...filling in and refining detail. After then texturing. Pretty textured pictures not too far away.
tkyler
5 blade prop option. Now just down to the flap mechanism linkages and I'll call the 3D 99.9% done (never can be 100...always something to improve on) Edited August 19, 2021 by tkyler
