B738
I use VR with xp11.5b13 and skymaxx Pro and when flying very close to clouds if I move my head the close clouds seem to move aswel l. Is this normal and just a feature of VR? Or is it a bug?
sundog
It is expected behavior in VR for the rendering technique used for overcast clouds in SkyMaxx Pro. Not exactly a bug, but we recognize it's not ideal and are investigating different ways to render these clouds that are more VR-friendly. B738
It's not a problem. Just wanted to check. I can certainly can live with it :-) One other thing I noticed in my testing this evening was when it's getting dark and it's cloudy and viewing through the VR headset the clouds look quite pixilated rather than smooth shades. Is this down to VR again as couldn't notice it as much in 2d? Fyi. My headset is hp reverb pro
sundog
Can't say I've tried that headset. It sounds like a color bit depth issue or some sort of compression going on within the headset or its drivers.
Martin K
Hi I got kinda the same issue. When flying close to clouds in VR, the clouds get "attached" in a weird way. This doesn't happen in 2D. Tried various settings in the plugin and in Xplane with no luck. I'm on Xplane 11.50 r1 and use Pimax 5K Plus VR headset. Any fix to this would be great as SkyMaxx look amazing in VR, but it's kinda unusable in it's current state Thanks! best, Martin Edited August 24, 2020 by Martin K
