Can't really find any good shots of aircraft speed brakes in a similar nature to the one modelled, but I think this might be a Lancair or some sort?  Getting closer?

Lancair uses the same speedbrakes as the Columbia/Cessna (manufactured by Precise Flight), so it's not that either.

Hey Jason,

Do the speedbrakes you are showing in the pics appear "exactly" as they are on the aircraft ?  I don't see how they would be that effective as there is very little surface area.

As far as a Lancair is concerned... the speed brakes in the picture appear to be "too close" to the fuselage and do not look at all like a Precide Flight speedbrake.

The mystery continues...

I bought the Oahu photo scenery as a treat to myself. I needed something new, so what's better than a little "don't be sad" kind of purchase to play with all day long? I got carried away, and have been more active in LightWave than X-Plane though. Started making some rough ideas on how the buildings will populate Honolulu intl.

This is VERY rough. I shouldn't even post this, but I'm weak... ;)

Here's another two for ya. I didn't have much time today as I'm off for a wedding I'm shooting at this saturday, though I spent too much time on figuring out those roads and connecting them, and a few more structures.

And here you can check the airport in birds view on Bing. Some details won't be needed to model, nor be 100% accurate, since you'll be flying above or parking on the opposite side of the terminal anyway. But please, be picky if you notice anything.
