  4. That is my understanding of the situation, yes. But I don't speak for X-Aviation.
  5. @Pils No, I didn't ask Laminar, because I don't have the problem with other planes that have the 530/430 combination. Both GNSs work normally with these. This plane is the only one (I think) that I have ever had that runs two 530s side by side. I would guess that most users are in Windows, and a lot may be using one or other of the 750s, which we Mac users cannot, sadly. Or they use the FMS. I really wondered whether anyone else (Mac users) have come across this, but no one has said so. I'm sure Coop or Cameron have used the 525 on a Mac at some time, and if they don't see the problem, then I can certainly ask Laminar. Anyway, thanks for coming back to me! Note, in the screenshot, I'm fairly close to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International (KFLL), and both 530s are tuned to the FLL VOR 114.4
  6. Update for anyone stuck like me: I bought Gizmo64 LTS and replaced the plugin. The aircraft now works natively on Apple Silicon. Now just for the comedy value: Challenger 650: 124$ Native Gizmo64 LTS: 13.60$ So the final “working” setup costs the price of a glass of decent red — yet the official recommendation is still “run the entire sim under Rosetta.” That’s the absurd part. The fix is tiny, the performance cost is not. This isn’t about technology — this is about caring for all customers. I’ll leave it here. Cheers
  7. Sure. Even Ben Russell himself states that X-Aviation will eventually move away from Gizmo. What I’m trying to understand is this sentence: “And if it’s never updated, it’ll never have support.” What does that practically mean? Is the current position simply: “If we update it someday, fine. If we don’t, then Mac customers will never have native support.” Because that reads less like a technical limitation, and more like a policy choice. I’m just trying to get clarity. If the current stance is “no native Apple Silicon support until Gizmo is removed, even though a native build exists”, then at least that needs to be clearly communicated to customers.
  8. You are free to, however it won't be supported by X-Aviation. Maybe there's no license/agreement to do so, we don't know, you can't just assume there's nothing other than technical reasons at play. Regardless, X-Aviation have decided that removing Gizmo completely is a better long term solution. I don't see this changing.
  9. I refer you to the above.
  10. Apple Silicon support will come when an addon is updated to remove the use of Gizmo completely. Not any other way. (And if it's never updated, it'll never have support.)
  11. Same here on Apple Silicon (is anyone still flying X-Plane on Intel Macs in 2025?). What I find strange is that the Gizmo developer (Ben Russell) already offers a native Apple Silicon build. So the solution literally exists right now. For clarity: the plugin costs 14 dollars on the developer’s website. I’d pay it, and I probably will — even just for testing — if it actually makes this thing work. But that’s not the point. This is a matter of principle: if a native build exists, the distributor should be shipping the native build. Full stop. Rosetta isn’t free, at all. It costs FPS, not lightly. We’re not talking about a spreadsheet — this is a real-time simulator. Running the entire sim under Rosetta in 2025 to support a single plugin doesn’t look like a technical limitation. It looks like lack of interest in supporting Apple Silicon customers properly. I’ve opened a ticket as well. Still waiting.

  14. This means that you've signed into X-Aviation using a different account on this computer ("machine") in the past. Each machine can only be registered with ONE account. This often happens when people have shared accounts with each other, which is EXPRESSLY against the terms and conditions of the store, and which they consider to be software piracy. Only X-Aviation Support can help at https://support.x-aviation.com/index.php?a=add.
  15. Yes, V1.8 still runs on XP11, with some limitations. However, consider that X-Plane 11 is an End-of-Life platform, no updates will be made to it by the vendor (Laminar), no bug fixes, no new features, nothing. The CL650 will stay compatible where possible, but do not expect it to be fully featured at the level of X-Plane 12 version. E.g. There will never be a functional weather radar for XP11. If you computer has the performance for XP12 it's long passed time to move on from 11.
  16. Have you asked Laminar's X-Plane Support? The GNSes are their code.
  17. It pays to screenshot absolutely everything. How does one close an account on this website?

  19. First time buying xavition products…. Over a week and still not reply I’m getting a “Machine ID locked” error when trying to load the RealSimGear Gauges plugin in X-Plane 12 Appreciate any help
  20. Dear all, Could anyone please confirm whether the Challenger 650 is still compatible with X-Plane 11? The website currently mentions “X-Plane 12 officially supported,” so I’d like to make sure before purchasing. Thank you in advance.
  21. Hi! a happy owner of the HotStart Challenger 650, still don't learn how to flight it properly, but I hope in the future I will do. See you!
  22. I'm somewhat disappointed that no one (Cameron, Coop or forum member) has come back to me, after I reported a problem with the 525's GNS 530s. I reported this in the 525 support forum here, and also in Discord. As I have the problem, both on an M4 Mac in Tahoe, and an Intel iMac (using an older MacOS), it can't be a faulty installation - and, anyway, I deleted and re-installed to eliminate that possible cause. It's very unlike X-Aviation not to reply. I've always had stellar service.

Installation. 1. Download and install Reshade: ( https://reshade.me/ ). 2. Copy reshade-shaders, and all the .ini files from Presets to your X-Plane folder. 3. When installing Reshade, select X-Plane.exe and you can either download all available effects (recommended) or just insert one of the .ini files for the required ones. 4. Start X-Plane. Then switch to one of those .ini files in the Reshade panel (which pops up once when you launch the game). 5. Usage [IMPORTANT!]: - There are 4 variants. All placed in the Presets folder. DOTUNE2_A is the standard preset. - DOTUNE2_A contains all required effects, whilst DOTUNE2_Ab does not include Xenon Bloom. Switch to DOTUNE2_Ab if the in-game menus and UIs look too bright to you. The graphics might be a bit less convincing if you do so. - There are 2 more variants which is labelled "noMotionBlur". Switch to one of them if you're uncomfortable with the certain effect. Disabling Motion Blur may help increase FPS in some ways. -- C. Limitation. 1. Tested on OpenGL only. Not quite sure if it works on Vulkan or any rendering option. 2. I am not responsible for any system issue you are facing when applying this preset. It's supposed to be used on high-end machines. -- D. Permission. 1. You shall be able to share DOTUNE 2 or your modifications on it to any forum/platform. But please credit me (8x7u8y) when sharing. 2. You shall not monetize on DOTUNE 2.
