Hi all! Got another question. Every single time I start up the engines, I can see the red AP sign blinking as if I turned the autopilot off. But I do not touch the AP on or off buttons during start up sequence. Is it alright?

Will anybody also advise how to set the hardware AP on/off button? As if I am dummie:)

Thanks in advance.

Will it break anything?… no. Is it supposed to do that?… no. Will this be fixed in the next update?… no. As a workaround simply press the AP disco button on the yoke and it should canx the annunciation.

P. S. I am just curious, what will be fixed in the next update?
Next Saab Update:

• Fixed bug in anti-skid system preventing user from applying brakes (HotFix 2/13/14)
• Fixed bug where changing the NAV selector would not display the proper annuncation on the EADI.
• Fixed bug where Glideslope was not being recognized when switching between NAV1 and NAV2.
• Added NAV2 radio test logic to glideslope display.
• Adjusted reverse/beta/feather/norm modes.
• Adjusted sound engine to handle negative gain.
• Adjusted fuel crossfeed logic.
• Logic for Xvalve and bleed valves re-written.
• Changed bleed air and power requirements for proper operation.
• DC selector dial reworked to be more user friendly.
• AP engage delay time reduced.
• Adjusted engine oil pressure warning parameters.
• Corrected logic for determining valid signals for nav radios.
• Adjusted logic for when the Altitude Advisory speed is displayed on the EADI.
• Corrected fuel pump logic on engine failure.
• Autocoarsen logic revised to be more accurate per AOM.
• OBS1, OBS2, Heading, and Altitude Selector manipulators changed to be more user friendly.
• Fixed nose gear tires showing through the gear doors when retracted.

… and maybe more

Ok, thanks. Frankly for thr first time I was kinda disappointed woth the aircraft but now I must admit that it flies perfectly and it's really pleasant for manual handling. Now I love this aircraft.

Sent from my Galaxy Note via Tapatalk

Any chance minor things like default switch positions could be included? Eg. De-ice boot panel, indication light ON, air supply ON, AC GEN's ON, ADF units left on ADF etc.

Cheers

+1 for the radio manipulators.

Ditto Please - the Saab is an amazing addon but for online flight I find it truly difficult especially with the slow dialing of the freqs (and odd location - not that it's wrong, obviously it's realistic, but it's difficult and I use TIR). A radio stack would be super handy with this plane.

Hi Ben,

I always felt that the saab is too heavy on frames compared to other complex planes (like JAR a320 neo).

In fact I have to reduce a couple of rendering settings to maintain 30 FPS when flying the saab.

So +20% FPS sound very good to me! Thanks for your efforts.

I guess doing an a320 neo at study sim level would be a much more complex task than doing a saab340.

But maybe you're right and it was a poor comparision right from the start...

No matter what, I'm glad you found a way to make the saab perform (even) better.
