  3. Hi there, I have mentioned this in other threats before, but no one yet acknowledged it. So i am starting a own new topic! It appears that the “hold brakes regular” and the “hold brakes maximum” key assignment do not (yet) work on the latest les saab 340 update (1.6.1)?Or am i missing something.I saw that “brakes left” and “brakes right” are now working properly. But i use a regular Joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) and i would highly appreciate being able to assign both brakes to one key/button! Many thanks, looking forward to new updates, best regards, Tom
  4. regarding v1.6 - truly a great product just two questions came up: brakes: how do i assign brakes to my joystick? The usual x-planes keybinds doesn’t seem to work!? powerback: Are powerbacks possible in the Sim? if yes, how? (Just revers doesn’t seem to work) if no, any chance to implement it with a future update? many thanks, best regards, Tom
  5. So i recently read a Facebook post by Leading Edge sims about the upcoming release of a Saab 340 v2 for XP11. I was wondering if owners of the original Saab will get a discount on the newer XP 11 Saab 340 v2, as I was planning to buy the currently available Saab by christmas, but I don want to jump the gun if a major update is in store. -my regards and best of luck AV
  6. Hey I have flown the saab fpr couple days and today it stopped receiving ils frequency and showing only red loc text in the lower corners in the ehsi. I dont also get the deviation dots/diamond in the Eadi. I think my frequency is right since i got it from navigraph chart. I tried to recieve VOR and they seem to work. I use X-plane 11

Artic Airlink operated the flight connection Luleå – Oulu – Tromsø until May 2018. The line could no longer be operated, as the flight operator NextJet declared bankrupcy May 16. This was the end of one of the few direct connections in Artic Europe, linking the cities of Oulu (Finland), Luleå (Sweden) and Tromsø (Norway) without the need to transit via the countries capitals. With this livery you can continue to link directly the Northern parts of western Europe, with the original aircraft, the SAAB 340, the ideal aircraft for those regions. All logos and design elements were used according the fair use rules. Any comments are welcome. Wishing you pleasant flights and safe landings.
  8. D-CDAU DauAir SAAB 340 View File DauAir was a small company operating from 2005 to 2006 between Dortmund and Berlin Tempelhof as well as to Poznan, Zürich, Warsaw. This is a mod to fix a lot of manipulators that are otherwise unusable in VR with the touch controllers in the Leading Edge Simulations Saab 340A Version 1.5 for XP11. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: Tweak Log: Rudimentary Pilot and Copilot teleport hotspots! (WIP) GPS Knobs, inner/outer Sun Shades, slide on rail and lower/raise All Light Intensity Rheostats Autopilot Altitude Selector Dial Com 1 and 2 Function Selector and Frequency knobs, inner and outer Nav 1 and 2 Function Selector and Frequency knobs, inner and outer ADF 2 and 2 Function Selector and Frequency knobs, inner and outer Transponder Function Selector and Frequency knobs CRS 1 dial CRS 2 dial HDG dial OBS Knobs IAS Bug knobs Altimeter baro pressure knobs Overhead DC Selector knob Flight Number Digit Wheels have been tuned for functionality Parking Brake orientation corrected (was previously reversed, now a push toward the floor pushes the knob down) Steering Tiller orientation corrected (was previously reversed, now a push toward the floor pushes the knob down) DCP Select knob tweaked Decision Height Knob rotation and push in/out tweaked (was previously reversed) And many, many other dials, knobs, and switches... These changes make the aircraft fully flyable using touch controllers in VR! With the exception the yoke. Known bugs or issues: - Some manipulators are a bit fiddly/touchy/sensitive, but at least they work correctly. **most fixed in 1.1 - CRS 1 knob seems to have two grab points, and one doesn't work. If you grab the CRS 1 and it doesn't turn, aim more for the base of the knob instead of the top of the knob. You can also grab the obs knob next to the CRT screen, it works beautifully. - Switches that should "snap" back to center, such as starter switch, bleeds, trims, V/S wheel, etc...they do not snap back to center using the VR controllers. I believe there is some custom "onmouserelease" gizmo code going on there, and the VR controllers aren't seen by gizmo as a "mouse". Fortunately the VR mouse works just fine, so I map the vr mouse to a button on my yoke and turn it on when I need to adjust trims. Everything else is still usable with the VR controllers. When you reset the bleeds it will stay in the reset position, but I've found that it's fine to leave it there. Same thing with the starter switch, it will just stay in the position of the engine you just started, but doesn't make a difference. If you want to snap it back to center, just use the VR mouse for now. I also map the vvi up and vvi down to buttons on my yoke so i don't have to use the V/S wheel when climbing/ascending using V/S mode. - Some custom mouse wheel code in 2d gets broken while using the VR mod, so if you are going to fly her in 2d you may want to revert back to the old .obj files. - gust lock only works using VR mouse. Again, I believe it's dependent on some custom gizmo mouse code. Disclaimer: This is not an officially supported LES update, so don't expect support from them on it. If you need help you can always ask me or just put your old .obj files back in your folders. If you lose the old files and just want to reset everything just reinstall the aircraft. Installation Instructions: Download the SaabVR-obj-v22.zip file (this is the latest version) Back up your LES_Saab_340_cockpit.obj from your Passenger Variant folder, your LES_Saab_340a_Cargo_cockpit.obj from your Cargo Variant folder, and your LES_Saab_340a_AEW_cockpit.obj from your Airborne Variant folder. Unzip the file, you'll find 3 folders, one for each Saab variant (passenger, cargo, airborne). Inside each folder you'll find a ***variant.txt file and a ***vrconfig file. Step 1: The ***vrconfig files just go in your Saab's corresponding aircraft variant folders. Easy. Step 2. You will need a text editor for this next part, I recommend notepad++ (free). The text inside these ***variant.txt files are intended to replace the current corresponding text in the obj files. Open the ***variant.txt file and copy all the text. Open the matching .obj file from you Saab's variant folder in your text editor. Search/find (or edit/find) for the world "TRIS". Highlight that line and all remaining text in the obj (shift click at the bottom of the file to do this quickly) and paste. Save the obj. (Not save-as, don't give it another name). Enjoy! **What's New in Version 2** This is a fairly major update. Along with the obj text modifications you'll now get vr_config.txt files to put in your aircraft variant folders as well. Changed a lot of axis manipulated knobs to their correct manipulation, getting rid of the "sliding up and down the colored line" effect. Also changed the sensitivity of countless dials and switches for a much better experience. Also added teleport hotspots to the pilot and copilot seat (sort of...it's a work in progress, but it works. The blue hotspot indicator that you're probably used to is currently a hoop about where the head of the pilot would be, but it works). All the manipulators that are still bound to color-line axis's can not be fixed because they are custom-code dependent (I think), and I've not found a way to fix them. They work as is, just have to deal with the axis slide.

  14. I am unable to set altitude in any version of the SAAB 340 - x-plane 11 update. It appears that (by screenshot attached) altitude knob is missing, can any one assist? thank you
  15. I have recently purchased the Saab 340 and it looks good, but, though I have followed the instructions to the letter, I can't manage to get it to take off. I accelerate carefully to 60% of full speed and then the emergency warning light comes on saying "configuration error". I have tried to take off anyway to see what happens, but I go up about 10 feet and just come down again! I must have missed something important, but cannot work out what. Any ideas gratefully received. If it helps, I enclose the log and gizmo files. Brian (PS I put this in the general help thread, but perhaps that was the wrong place) GizmoLog.txt Log.txt

  17. Hi, I had purchased the les saab 340 for x plane 11. Though it was not recommended, the aircraft pretty much loads fine except for the gps. It is unusable and cannot be turned on. I get the error: Run(xp) : G530_main: [string "JGX.2.G530.00.lua.aes"] : attempt to index local 'G530navCycleFileHandle" (a nil value). Is there anyway to make the gps work or will I need to wait till version 1.5 of the saab is released?
  18. Hi, I recently purchased the les Saab 340 and had done a few flights with it; however, recently I have not been able to start the engines. When I put the condition lever to start and feather and switch the ignition the engine sounds like its spooling up, but the temp only rises to about 30 and the rpm increases slightly. The same thing happens with the auto start feature. Has anyone had this problem that can help?
  19. Hello everyone, I recently bought the Saab. Everything works great except the Altitute Set knob. It is stuck at 32000ft and I can't change it. The test button on the left works though. I tried to install again the saab, the same thing happens. If someone can help, it would be much appreciated. Happy New Year to everyone, Maxlaud
  20. Hi folks! I've recently purchased x-aviation Saab 340A for X-Plane 10.5, running on MacBook Pro (Late 2015). Install works a treat however when accessing the Saab aircraft within x-plane I can not flick switches, operate throttles etc. Now, looking at the setup guide there are several plugins required to run Saab 340... however these are all installed during installation. Is there anyone who can help? I sent a query direct to X-Aviation however not had any feedback. Key issues: No GizMo toolbar at right of screen No working instruments - Only EGT indicates idle speed EGT of 350 degC on digits, no analogue movement. Rudder pedals moving of their own accord even with no weather set. External image shows all doors and the emergency escape hatch in flightdeck all open. Prop animation looks like fuzzy lines. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need more info. Some system info: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon R9 M370X macOS Sierra Many thanks, Gary.
  21. Hello, Recently I purchased the Saab 340 and I am so far very pleased with it! At the moment I am attempting to follow the included tutorial and everytime I reach 10,000 ft., I get a CABIN PRESS warning. Tried looking through the manual for how to actually pressurize the aircraft, and though I got a look at the pressurization systems, I wasn't able to pressurize my aircraft the next time I flew and set the knobs according to what the manual indicated. Any help on how to pressurize the Saab and preferably some more information on the pressurization systems would be much appreciated! Thanks
  22. JGG-Crossair HB-AHA View File Here's a repaint for the awesome Saab 340 from LES. It's my first repaint and I wanted to do something Swiss. I fly around Zurich a lot and I really like the Swiss cross on the tail fin. This repaint is of Crossair HB-AHA. It was delivered to Crossair in 1984 and was part of their fleet of regional aircraft that flew between Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lugano and Zurich. This particular aircraft was put out of service in February 1990 when the landing gear was retracted on the ground during a training exercise. There were no locking pins in place and it caused irreparable damage. Crossair had been growing quite well during the 70's and 80's which made Swissair, the national airline, quite nervous. During the late 80's Swissair were purchasing more and more shares in Crossair and eventually owned about 60% of the company. Because of this, I've included a Swissair branded GPU in the livery. It also has a logo light for the tail fin. Now you can fly with the correct colours when you do those regional routes in Switzerland!
