  3. Hey guys, might not be new for you, but this scenery made my yaw drop: It is just photo-realistic Copenhagen. After visiting Copenhagen in 3D at http://maps.nokia.com/3D/ a while ago, I thought thats a plausible world I digg for XP10. Now I see it in XP10. Woah. But I can not imagine buying every city I fly to. Isn't there a legal way to use existing 3D objects for non-commerical XP10 sceneries? Anyways, could you imagine taking a tour of the city after taking off from YSSY...? Hint, hint...
  4. GDay all, As mentioned to Andy, here's some screenshots of my attempt at using WED, GeoTiffs, GraphicConverter, and a few other graphical processing utilities. In no particular order. Some are earlier tests in the build to make sure things were working out. Many lines and taxiway features have been adjusted to be as accurate as possible. (Courtesy of LINZ/Land Information New Zealand for their recent 10 cm resolution orthos!) Orthos were downsampled to 2k x 2k, still giving excellent quality. The screenshots were also downsampled from 1680x1050 PNGs to 1024x600 JPEG at 80% quality as to not fill up x-pilot's hard drives. All shots in XPlane 10 Demo (as Im still waiting for my discs!). Buildings/Object Scenery is Roaloak's existing NZCH. Note that I've been able to make the orthos go 'above' the taxiways, so lines, markings, lights, signs, and the like are all layed on top of the ortho, giving a really nice effect. (i.e. you still still get all the taxiway lights, hold points, etc...), while the taxiway is still there underneath the scenery, so you can still drive on it properly. Happy new year to all. - Chris.
  5. Didn't see these - sorry if repost FMS Unable to get External Ground Power Unable to get any additional information on the MFD Menu (eg. NAVAIDS, AIRPORTS) MISC. Engines seem way more powerful - usually to taxi I need around 48% N1 and now it's moving with only a little power added Blurry (barely readable) readouts (tested with night) Note: I did not actually fly as I was concerned about the engine power Windows 7 64bit NVIDIA GTX 580 (latest drivers) 10.03 b10 HDR on with FXSAA Shadows - Global Medium My biggest concerns are with the FMS and engine power
