  1. Very nice to see a better alternative to OSM2Xplane. A very good job is done here. OK, but then also some points; just tested the Netherlands, but in many places where I expect terraced houses there are a bundle of detached houses (with different forms and different colors). The result is too multicoloured. So place develop also terraced houses. A good addition would be developing farms. I saw also som 'bugs': - flashing facades (I think there were two or more facades at the same place) - trucks and fire trucks placed on different spots - broken roads
  2. I see that the last four video are made a couple of months after the first serie of four. Does is mean that the IXEG B737 have a cusom made 'save situation' or does the default 'save situation' the trick.
  3. Old driver re-installed problems disappeared. Bugs reported.
  4. It is a pity but there is still a bug. I see with the default X-Plane fps-test in test no 3. Besides this there is no fps-gain, instead there is a loss of 1-2 fps compared with the 331.82 driver. See the table I made after I did some tests this evening. I used the following command in cmd: X-Plane --fps_test=1 --load_smo=Output/replays/test_flight_c4.fdr Test no. 3 caused most troubles (red/blue lines). Test no 4 seems gave some blurry mountains in the last part of the test (maybe this is not a bug, I am not sure). Tomorrow I will post a bug at LR and Nvidia. My system: I3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, 16GB RAM @1600Mhz, Gigabyte GTX770OC 4GB.
  5. I am doing my best spreading the word. I have mentioned it already several times on www,simflight.nl. The last posting was here: http://www.simflight.nl/2014/03/07/world2xplane/. Maybe you don't understand everything, thats not strange because the language is Dutch my friend. To me this is one of the important tools for getting X-Plane on a higher level. So thumbs up for this marvelous project.
  6. Congratulations, I have announced it at http://www.simflight.nl/2014/03/06/levendige-kleuren-x-plane-met-maxx-fx/ for the Dutch X-Plane pilots.
  7. OK, Tony you do a very good job here, but what an awful colors here with the OSM-objects, or could you get this in control also?
  8. And I would like a detailed DC-3 a sort of accsim package for the DC-3.
  9. @Harry Cul: Can you confirm this, e.g. by posting a link, I haven't seen this on the sites of nvidia yet.
  10. Sometimes I find a cause of a problem myself. In the default apt.dat one node had a too sharp bezier curve. While shortening the arrow the taxiway becomes visible (after searching for hours!). OK now I can do my next steps to fill the airport with objects creating another airport for Ben's global airports attack plan.
  11. Same here, I use an 4GB GTX 770, because I saw a serious drop-down in fps when using heavy scenery with my older card.
  12. In X-Plane I see the following problem: - Importing the apt.dat for EHLE shows invisible runways for EHLE - Flying X-Plane shows the same problem - Making a new taxiway will be visible - The problem differs slightly while using the default mesh or the HD Mesh. See also the attached files. It looks like the default and HD Mesh does not connect very good with the (elevation?) data in the apt.dat I have seen similar problems als with a freeware addon of KBOS. My questions: - What is this problem? - Is this a bug in X-Plane? - How do I get rid off this problem (I prefer a method without rebuilding all the taxiways)
  13. I like developments that sets new standards, so I like Skymaxx
  14. As I have seen before in earlier video's the transparancy changes are not that fluent (while entering and exiting a cloud). Have this something to do with the performance issues, or is this an area where you are still working on?
  15. Thanks, all problems solved here, maybe a minor point that I also had to click, drag left-right and hold for the VS manipulator instead of Up and Down which I was expecting. But nevertheless It works!
  16. While flying the SAAB I never see the status lights of the AP in the MCP turned on, however the AP works correctly. See also the screenshot. A second problem I encounterd that is it is not possible to change the vertical speed with de UP-DN Pitch Wheel (I suppose it is the ball which you can turn left-right for HDG) and up-down for Picth/Vertical Speed. Besides this changing HDG with the Turn Knob is almost impossible; dragging it the whole screen it changes maybe 1 or 2 degrees. What am I doing wrong here.
  17. An addition: I have tested some further with a yoke while it was vibrating and centered not correctly, but no problem occured. To me it seems 99,99% that the problem was connecting a joystick and not cleaning the assignments after use of it. Now it is up to LES to decide to accept this problem or to resolve it. EDIT: Same problem today, but after plugging out of the yoke before restarting X-Plane did the trick. It seems that the SAAB do not like moving yokes while starting an engine.
  18. Thanks for your suggestion. I have troubleshoot further on this one. Normally I have only a yoke (Saitek) connected, with rudder pedals and quadrant. But because my son wants to fly a glider I had connceted a joystick (Trustmaster) and assigned the roll and pitch to it. After flying the glider I disconnected the joystick and shut down the computer. But I had not deleted the assignments of the joystick. After a restart of the computer to fly the Saab I encounterd the problem. After your suggestion I connected the joystick again and deleted the assigments. Then an autostart gives the same problem as before. So I quit X-Plane and did a clean restart. After selecting the autostart the plane starts as normally. I think this could be the problem, but maybe there is (also) another problem, because I have to reset my yoke (plugging out and in the usb-cable) because it is not centered and it vibrates a bit. After resetting the yoke centers well again. This is a structural and frustrating problem. I don't think this was the problem for starting the SAAB because the fault in the yoke is structural and earlier starts of the SAAB gave no problem. But for the completeness I mentioned it also, so we don't have to overlook a problem/solution.
  19. Thanks for the great plane! This evening I could start only one of the engines. The engine which didn't start hangs on 32 degrees (temperature). I have tried to restart Gizmo and restart X-Plane with no succes. Also the auto-start gives problems. It is not always the same engine. Before restarting X-Plane I could start engine 1 and engine 2 stays dead. After the restart of X-Plane engine 1 couldn't start but engine 2 had no problems. See the attachment for a picture and the log files. GizmoLog.txt Log.txt
  20. Maybe a future X-Plane must have its own OS, such as what Steam planned with their SteamOS. In that case it will be Linux for all of us. Till that time I stick with Windows.
  21. Thanks Cameron! After some experimenting I can program in IntelliJ and get some output. But after some day I want to dive in Gizmo. Maybe a silly question, but how do I connect Gizmo to IntelliJ/Lua?
  22. Thanks. I have ordered the book Beginning Lua Programming as the starting point for learning the language. I will study the links you mentioned here so I learn how to 'connect' things to X-Plane. I have also downloaded Komodo, which Ben Russel advised to use. But how can I activate code highlighting in this editor? My first project (after hello world of course) will be displaying some data on the screen (e.g. heading data). I hope this can give a good starting-point discovering plugin-programming.
  23. I have read forums to see how I can start with plugin programming, but I am overwhelmed with all information and don't see the point where to begin. - First there is a plugin SDK, which looked the port to X-Plane (it seems that gives librarys which can be used in programming languages) - Second there are many languages (C, Gizmo, Python to name a few) - Third there are editors, but how link these to the scripting languages as Gizmo? But then, how is it working together and where do I start my learning curve? Ben Russell advised to start programming LUA; OK, but LUA is not used (directly) in X-Plane. So what is the bridge between LUA and say Gizmo? I have some (but no professional) experience in programming (mostly Visual Basic (for applications) and less with C++), so I understand the basic principles of programming, but at the moment I think programming plugins is for professionals with spare time, but not for amateurs. I hope I am wrong.
  24. OK, but then there is some work to for LR or others to make a save option work. If I speak for myself I make seldom flights for more than an hour, so a good save option is a great wish.
