1. Last we heard they were working on the FMS, I think some LNAV stuff!
2. Well, technically sharklets are available for ceo A320s too But if it makes you feel better, this is freshly rolled-out from my workshop...
3. Indeed it does! Surprisingly easy too actually, everything uses the same animation datarefs and such so other than a repositioning almost no modelling work was needed! I did something similar to the A330 and it was much more difficult... Here's another shot with some clearer details
4.

Nope, a clever bit of object replacing using Peter Hager's A320 as a donor. Actually pretty easy to do, just had to adjust the position of the engines in a 3D editor (I use AC3D) to match the CFM ones, and make a few texture changes on the wing, and it looks perfect!
5. Taking the A320 from Guangzhou to Lijiang Sanyi - A pretty breathtaking route! Testing my unofficial IAE-engine refit
6. I agree with you Jan, it is far easier to have a single .acf and switching things on the fly than it is to have multiple for simple things like this. In sumulator world, the realism has to come from the user too, we have to trust ourselves not to mess with other variables on the fly so we should here too - imagine having to completely re-load X-Plane just to get a different time, or weather pattern!
7. You can set a key binding by adding a new one in the bindings list. I have ctrl-L for white and ctrl-shift-L for red.
8. That's some impressive work, I don't think you could even consider <1fps to be anything more than random variance... Shows an impressively optimised aircraft, which is amazing

ATC language

Not quite, though my previous response wasn't correct either. Having done some further research, I realise that the "standard" ATC language for a country is that country's official language - so French, Spanish, French etc. are standard if the country uses them as its first language. However, any communications in English must be responded to in English, so you can reasonably assume that any ATCO at an international airport will be able to respond in, and understand, English. Going back to LFPO, this means that French is totally legitimate language when flying into there, however you don't need to know any French to fly there; if you start speaking English on frequency, someone will be able to reply in English too. As far as I can tell, this wouldn't be expected of languages other than the host nation's and English though - E.G. you couldn't fly into Orly and speak Chinese on the radio and expect someone to understand you.

ATC language

Nope. Standard ATC language is always English, though if everyone on frequency speaks french then I think there are exceptions. Orly shouldn't be like that though, and I'm very surprised there is French being overwhelmingly used on LiveATC's feed. I actually wonder if something else is going on, like a signal mix-up. Normally you want a standardised language as ATC is vitally important for situational awareness, and English has always been so.
11. You could still try manually tuning NAVAIDS and maybe just using the FMS to give you info on them? That would probably still give you a good hands-on experience. FMS isn't a necessity to fly the 733 I'm sure, though obviously it helps a lot!
12. Yeah, from what I've heard I'm fairly certain you can switch between analog and digital on-the-fly!
13. Are you sure your OS is 64-bit? no idea if it makes a difference but I'd assume you can't open a 64-bit app in a 32-bit OS.
14. Loving the new screenshots!
Can't be long now, guys - I'm so excited!
15. Probably, though it'll be an add-on that comes later.
16. Probably second option would be a better design decision.
17. It's funny really, I get massively better frames at EGCC than at EGLL. So I don't think you can really blame the author, as it is likely due to your particular rendering options and hardware setup.
18. Yeah, its a quirk of X-Plane I think. Really, we'd want ILS to give us the radial we want to fly on to follow down the localiser and glideslope, but X-Plane treats it like any other navaid, and instead gives us a radial to our current position in the sim. In this case, what the readings are actually telling you is that your aircraft is 273° and 21.9 nautical miles away from the navaid. DO NOT mistake the information in the local map as being the same as on a chart, as it is not, and serves a different purpose. This is correct for the way it has been implementated, though I agree giving the localiser radial would be more useful for an ILS.
19. I'm fairly certain it is the radial from the navaid to your position, so if you were programming a VOR you could input that radial.
20. Doesn't WED usually create a backup DSF from before yaounde save?
21. You can always try adding this invisible polygon using WED or OE. Has ATTR_hard and ALWAYS works. Just place it into the objects folder of your converted scenery, and use your editor of choice to place it down.
22. Looks like it (according to Google Maps)!
23. Wonderful! This is shaping up to be great already, especially with the system depth you appear to be implementing...
24. Probably not the best place to ask for these, I don't think I've ever seen anyone in FlightFactor visiting here...
25. Hey, no problem, it can be hard to tell. Avsim.su is a bit of a grey zone from what I can see, it can be good but does see some illegal files posted occasionally. You can get the aircraft over at X-Plane.org.
