  1. ....ahhhh I got it! It was that lua-script (Ice simulation) that was hijacking that effect. I removed it. I already had the suspicion. So all good, works great now. Thanks very much
  2. Thank you. That's weird....i'm using the DATA OUT "ice accretion 2" and made a quick movie to show you. You will see that after applying the function, both the lwing and rwing start increasing again and also the weight of the B733: At the start there is already some amount having built up, you can see this in the last line on the top-left corner. Do you think this could be something I should report to Laminar?
  3. Hmmm...does it really completely stop? What i saw is that it resets the actual ice (based on the value lwing and rwing) but then it starts building up again immediately after having applied it. Perhaps it is possible that it builds up slowlier but it doesn't stop. Are you sure that on your side it does completely stop buidling-up during the time you entered? Which dataset do you use to check that? But if that was really the case, I would have to fill a bug-report to Laminar. I am just surprised why it works differently on your side. I'm using the latest beta 12.0.8b1. Thanks again.
  4. Hi again. I tried that function (under "weight & balance") and gave 20 minutes under "Holdover Time (Ground de-icing)" and clicked "done". But unfortunately it had no impact...the weight of the aircraft kept increasing right after applying that function. I also tried the flywithLua-script "icing simulator" that should work with XP12 but that didn't work as well. The only way i could get rid of that ice/snow was to press a few times the "GRD TEST" of the wing-anti-ice until the datarefs "lwing/rwing" went back to zero. Do you think you could explain a bit much in depth what we have to do exactly? Perhaps demonstrating it in a short video?
  5. Thank you, i just discovered that function that I was absolutely not aware of! I will try to play around with it
  6. Thank you for your feedback. But as far as I know, there is no default anti-ice function that will remove the snow from the wings when on ground...or perhaps i missed that? EDIT: ok solved (see my other question and your answer. Looks like i learned something new)
  7. Hi there I wanted to take off during snowy/icy conditions and there seems to be a problem. Because of the ice-accumulation, the weight of the aircraft was so high, that it was impossible to lift off. And as far as i know there is no option to de-ice the acf before take off? So my question is: what can we do to take off safely during such conditions? I saw that this was already an issue years ago:
  8. Hi there Many thanks for the newest update. My first flight was departing from ENGM during snowy-conditions. And i observed that during loading the aircraft via the new menu, the ZFW started to increase and never end. It stopped as soon as i put the weather to normal conditions again. It may be because of ice/snow-accumulation. Would it be possible to prevent the preflight-menu to be affected by the increasing ZFW due to the accumulation of ice/snow? That would help catching the right ZFW as desired But of course i don't know if in real life it would be the same, in which case this wouldn't be a "bug" of course. So more a request if something can be done here, although XP simulates the increase of weight during snow. Thank you.
  9. All right, thank you @Cameron
  10. Hi there First time that happens...i just wanted to download the newest version. But there is simply no download-link (anymore) in my account. It has disappeared. Even when i click on "details" there is no download-link. Tried it with MS Edge as well to be sure. Same problem: no clickable Link to download the IXEG. I would appreciate if you could take a look at my account. Thank you very much.
  11. Hi there With the newest version for XP12 i cannot assign a go-around to any of my yoke-buttons. I cannot find the related dataref "ixeg/733/autopilot/TOGA" as mentionned in the documentation. I tried to assign "N1...something" but nothing happened when i pressed it during a go-around procedure, although i can press it at take off and the throttle will go to take-off-power. I am quite confused and would very much appreciate any help. Thank you.
  12. Really? That means they sold even more copies than of XP11 that was very popular? That sounds really like great news if that is true :-)
  13. Ah...makes sense. I wasn't sure if we could use that CG. But great, thanks so much!
  14. And also: do you guys have an advice about the trim? At take off the CG is always shown as 22% CG and the trim as 4.2 on the FMC. Do we perhaps have to change something there ?
  15. @Litjan Thank you very much for your great answer Jan and for the explanations about the rotation-behaviour, that i will have to train a little bit in that case ;-) If you could also share your yoke-settings that would also be great. Many thanks.
  16. Thank you very much Tom. And i hugely like the new version so far! You did a great job bringing it to XP12. And no, let's not fight X-Plane too much :-D
  17. Thanks for your feedback. The settings of the yoke must have a very big impact for sure. BB711 was thinking that it was more related to something that -according to him- Laminar doesn’t seem to simulate accurately (seems to have to do with the winds). Perhaps it would be great to know which settings we have to use when using the most comon yokes/joysticks? What i did notice what something reslly strange at take off, that i never had with any other plane or irl (GA’s): when pulling to rotate the aircraft then seems to dive nose down back to the RWY. This also happened to BB711 and he retouched the RWY after the first lift. Or is it a trim-setting? Anyway, Jan and BB711 know each others and perhaps they can discuss the best settings? That would be great for the whole community. I very much appreciate that this great plane made its was to XP12 and looking forward to all improvements coming. But do you think the flightmodel is not worth looking at for now? Or perhaps showing BB’s video to Jan and see what he says and if he can recommand better settings :-)
  18. Hi there I was watching Cpt.Blackbox’s stream yesterday, a pilot who also flew the B733. He was trying to adjust the sensitivity of his yoke but couldn’t do it in a satisfactory way. He thought that something was way off in the way the plane behaves. It may also be an issue with XP12 itself as he mentionned. Could you take a look at his review and explain how we can set up our input-settings? Or is that an issue that you are aware of? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1926356103 Starting at 1h47min30sec. Thank you very much guys.
  19. Hi there What i noticed so far: the engine-start-procedure is way too fast. When injecting the fuel it spools up to 22% N1 in about 10 seconds... Thanks for taking a look at that.
  20. Haha, only 35 minutes to go guys. For devs: take it as a huge compliment to see so many excited users. It remembers me about the few minutes before a PMDG aircraft came out and seeing all FSX/P3D-users over-excited in the good old days. A sign for your quality work
  21. I just watched the streams…omg i am shocked!
  22. Fantastic update guys. This plane has become EXTREMELY good, thanks so much for your support. And it's so framefriendly, it's incredible! It's so great to have guys like you with deep knowledge and high goals, after having so much other addons of low quality. So THANKS again to the whole team for bringing this high quality addon to the XP-world
  23. OK, yeah I see...its always much more complicated than we may imagine. I prefectly understand. At least its fantastic how accurate you want to have it simulated. That's really great. Thumbs up
