  1. If anyone is still using Windows XP 64bit and had problems running the latest CRJ, now you can enjoy the aircraft in 64bit by manually installing the latest Gizmo64. Ben was so nice to rebuild it, using the latest Update 4 of the VS2012 and now Win XP users can use the plugin by installing the update 4 of the VS redistributable libs, available at microsoft.com.
  2. Can confirm... the latest Gizmo 64 works on XP 64bit, thanks to Ben recompiling the stuff on VS2012 Update 4... If you are still not able to run it, install vs2012 redistributable libs update 4 from microsoft.com
  3. Well... at least thanks for the explanation Will focus on trying to figure out what the heck is v110 toolset missing for XP and will try to add it (not sure if that's possible tho)... Anyways.. If I manage to find anything useful, I'll drop a line here. Cheers
  4. Thanks for the info Ben! Yep, by default VS2012 sets v110 toolset for each project and even on their site it's mentioned that for backward compatibility with XP, the developer needs to explicitly select v110_xp, which is provided with VS2012 Update 1 (latest is Update 4). Of course I won't push you to do it as XP will be soon out of support and any IT guy would say that once the OS is not supported why bother. I just wonder if there's any slight chance that I get access to the Gizmo source, possibly the VS2012 project files and try to recompile it by myself? As far as I read in the forum the code is open source, but I wasn't able to locate any repository. Thanks for the info.
  5. Me too.... and I use this box for quite some time, only for the sim without any problems... being forced to upgrade just because of Gizmo, reinstall the sim, all the models and plugins I use... I rather save the trouble if there's an alternative :-) Besides.... I'm not sure at all if the prob is in XP... it might be a wrong DLL or something else I've missed.
  6. So you suggest to spend 200USD on new windows or download a pirate copy, which will be used for the sim only, instead of focussing on models that don't require Gizmo for authentication?
  7. Yep, on older 32bit Gizmo versions I also didn't have any problems... I'm also confused, but this seem to be related to 64bit version only and XP 64bit windows.
  8. Cameron, as I wrote, I'm blindly shooting at the moment. Why you haven't seen it? Maybe you haven't tested with Windows XP 64bit? I don't know. it's not that common windows distro as the most widely spread 64bit windows is win7. And if the plugin was compiled on VS2012, the default toolset does not have support for XP. Possible explanation. If you think the problem is somewhere else, please let me know what to try. Thanks!
  9. Ben, if you are reading this.... I saw in one of the posts that you used MS tools to build the win64 version of the plugin. Did you use VS2012? Maybe with the default toolset v110? If so, would it be possible for you to recompile with v110_xp, which adds backward compitability for Windows XP. XP 64bit is still alive and although support will be dropped this year, there are still users that fly on WinXP (like me). Just no point to brake my neck reinstalling everything when I use windows only for the sim.
  10. Hi, I can't start my CRJ200 due to Gizmo plugin failure. I removed all plugins, tried with the Gizmo plugin provided by the latest CRJ200-1.5.3 and also with the Gizmo plugin: 13.11.05.0205.. same problem: E:\X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/Gizmo64.plugin/64/win.xpl : Error Code = 127 : The specified procedure could not be found. Also tried to add the support DLLs, found in this forum.. no luck.. The log file is attached. Any help is welcomed! Thanks! Log.txt
  11. 64bit only??? Does it mean it won't work on 32bit? The X-Ivap client for IVAO is 32bit only and I still can't run the sim under 64bit.
  12. Any idea what it will become publicly available? And.. will the new CRJ 1.5 have the new gizmo plugin included or we need to update it separately?
  13. Thanks a lot for the info Cameron. I'll make sure the Gizmo plugin is enabled when I fly the CRJ.
  14. According to the Boeing 777 installation instructions, the Gizmo plugin should be disabled in order to run the 777. My question is, what would the impact be for the CRJ200 if I remove the Gizmo plugin? I know it's needed for activation, but if I activate the model, can I remove the Gizmo plugin untill the next update?
