  1. I'll change the draw area and give that a try. For reference, after disabling SkyMaxx Pro, I enabled real-time weather in X-Plane and the comparison FPS was after that had settled down. I appreciate it's drawing something different, though. Good to hear re the update - looking forward to it.
  2. Firstly, I'd like to say this makes X-Plane weather look gorgeous In 2D, all is fine (but I had to select Fast textures for the Cumulus textures to get good performance). However, I was flying in VR yesterday. It all started okay, but then the weather took a turn for the worse, and the FPS with it. I then checked the X-Plane Plugins section and saw that SkyMaxx on it's own was consuming over 30FPS! How can that be? I disabled SkyMaxx and all was okay, but this renders it somewhat tricky to use in VR. I'm happy with the 2D performance - taking a 30FPS hit is doable when I've initially got 70+, but a show-stopper when I've only got 45 or so when in VR. Any ideas? I've selected the highest performing textures there seem to be. Regards, Mark
  3. No worries - we're both up and running, which is the main thing
  4. Yes, that's what was happening for me, too. HDR set to On, clouds visible. HDR off, no clouds. HDR is working fine for me, so I guess the latest XP 11 Beta performance enhancements are working
  5. When in the options page on my iMac, you can see the clouds disappear in the sim in the background when you switch it down from HDR to the one below. Wouldn't have thought it was a resources issue, as HDR will be using more, not less, than the option below it. Lucky or not, it was a good call and got me up and running Happy to do some testing here if it'll help.
  6. HDR it was - many thanks for your help with this. I'd switched down from HDR to the one below some time ago, as FPS wasn't so good on an earlier version of XP11, but seems acceptable now. Might be worth sticking this in the manual? I've seen a few people on forums etc with similar issues and no definite answers. Guess it might be due to different reasons than it was for me. Anyhow, thanks again for getting me up and running
  7. Does anyone know what the response time is once a ticket has been raised? Cheers, Mark
  8. No worries. Thanks for the info. I suspect those old plug-ins were as a result of me attempting to install the Mu-2. I've now deleted the old plug-ins and tried again. Same issue. Full log attached. Log.txt
  9. Hi again, Here's my About box:

  11. Hi again Frank, I've raised a ticket, but in the meantime, here's a chunk of the log: dlerror:dlopen(/Users/markavey/X-Plane 11 Beta/Resources/plugins/Gizmo.plugin/mac.xpl, 6): no suitable image found. 12. Thanks Frank - I shall raise a ticket. I tried a reinstall, but still no luck,
  13. Hi all, I purchased Skymaxx Pro 4.5 over the weekend for use in X-Plane 11, but I'm not seeing much in the way of clouds. I've attached a couple of screenshots, one with the plug-in running, one without. The one with the clouds is with the plug-in disabled. I'm running it with default settings. I've also clicked Reset in the plug-in menu in case I'd inadvertently clicked something. Sometimes, I get a brief glimpse of some nice looking clouds, then they fade away to this. I've tried it with Real Weather and also manually creating the weather, and it looks just the same. I've disabled other plug-ins, so nothing should be conflicting. Any ideas?
  14. Thanks for the quick response, Cameron. My apologies - I didn't realise it was no longer supported. I'm using X-Plane 11, so I guess that also applies to most of my past purchases?
  15. Hi folks, I'm struggling to get any of my earlier purchases installed on my iMac (Late 2015 model, Sierra). When I double-click setup-osx after extracting the Zip, it literally does nothing at all. No icon in the dock, nothing with that name in Activity Monitor. I've tried some of the other suggestions here (using Stuffit and running the installer from the Terminal) but still no luck. The specific one I'm trying to install at the moment is the Sequoia. I emailed support a couple of times, but no response has been received. Regards, Mark
