  1. This is an installer error. Are you trying to run the installer while x-plane is open and running in the background? Some people do that so they can fly while the downloads take time and it causes problems. If it's not that you'll need to wait for Cameron to see this thread later, he's responsible for the installers.
  2. The only reason you are here at all is to loudly and ignorantly complain and demand that something free be made to work for you as a priority. You're upset because I called you on the bullshit attitude you came here with. The idea that you are with-holding money or work from me is laughable. You had no intention of spending or providing either of them. As SASL and FWL are so much better in your mind I'm sure you'll find plenty of other content "over there" to satiate your impatience. Please direct your attention thusly.
  3. Sounds like I dodged a bullet. I wouldn't license my tools to you.
  4. The Avanti mod package is published for free. It was created by Ilias as both a learning and demonstration project. Gizmo's website points to a broken link because I currently have more important things to worry about like XP12 and various other features and updates. Those that have supported our ventures by buying products have one extra free aircraft to enjoy. Those who bring only attitude to the table (that would be you) will have to wait until you are served a free item.
  5. Maybe it's your entitled attitude that should be downed. Gizmo is alive and well. You, wanting a free lunch, will have to wait your turn. I owe you exactly nothing.
  6. Correlation does not equal causation. These parameters have no affect on the x-aviation licensing system.
  7. Please don't compare software to Cars. You can still make a left turn. You just have to hold the steering wheel to the right for a longer period of time. This is amusingly almost an identical experience to Linux vs other operating systems. You can still get it to work. You just have to do stupid annoying and seemingly un-necessary things to get to your objective. You will also find a reference to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS earlier in the thread.
  8. The Phenom is probably using the SVS library/code from Saso, the author of the TBM and the CL650. Here's an old video of the TBM showing the SVS with a runway, which is what you're trying to make a point about. Old news. Video is from 30 Nov 2019. The CL650 has the SVS system as well and I can't be bothered finding a video clip featuring a runway in it to satisfy you. You can do that yourself.
  9. SVS and EVS are not the same thing.
  10. It's not possible to do with X-Plane 11.
  11. Can you please post a screenshot of what you're seeing... I'm curious. Gizmo does have some fullscreen windows that may suffer from "opengl state confusion" and end up drawing a color in them if the additional plugins didn't leave GL as they found it. This is a fairly common glitch between many products. (it's been mentioned on the laminar research developer slack chat recently) I may be able to tweak gizmo so it's not an issue in future.. A copy of log.txt fron your xplane folder will help too. It contains device and driver details as well as a list of plugins you have installed. All of which is useful info.
  12. The latch / lockout mechanism is just a series of cleverly designed levers and the pin is an additional fool proof layer on top of everything else. Temperature fluctuation in hydraulic lines could change pressurization levels which can change actuator positions. Placing a pin through the holes means any possible variation in the hydraulic system is nullified. The lockout levers/latches cannot change position unexpectedly. * Not a certified mechanic. Am mechanically capable and have fixed many things over the years including hydraulic systems, lines, actuators and pumps.
  13. Red line indicates probable path / location of gear pin. It stops the mechanical lock out from being able to unlatch.
  14. This could be OS-level mouse driver acceleration.
  15. As a workaround... If you're aware you haven't flown in a while, create a folder in XPlane/Resources/plugins/ called disabled. Drag terramax into the disabled folder. Start X-Plane, open the Gizmo / X-A licensing window, update your license. Quit X-Plane. Drag terrmax out of the disabled folder. Start X-Plane. I'm aware it's not optimal. I'm aware that you may still get caught off guard when all you want to do is fly. I'm just offering a constructive work around. As the author of Gizmo I am unable to change how terramax operates when it's not licensed. I might be able to tweak Gizmo so that it allows terramax to believe its licensed for the first few minutes of sim operation but I will have to discuss this further with other stakeholder and investigate the technical challenge in doing so. I will add it to the bug/features list and review it again when other higher priority items have been worked through.
  16. Ticking the box in plane maker won't do anything automatic to the visual model.
  17. 6. But you probably have it overloaded with ortho scenery and are hitting VRAM contents / fragmentation and system bus overload trying to push all the data around. Drop the texture quality slider down. You also haven't made any mention of what kind of screen your using. People expect max texture settings on 4K+ screens with no cost when running premium products. It's all a trade off.
  18. Do you have xplane installed inside the "program files" folder on Windows? If yes, the license file won't save correctly. You'll need to move xplane somewhere else. If no, contact xa support..
  19. I can promise you we are not at the beach drinking mojitos and ignoring support needs. Sorry for the delay. I hope they can get to your ticket soon.
  20. If I had a dollar for every "X-Plane rolls left" post I've seen over the years..... I wonder how many of them have been from this exact thing. Thanks for posting your findings. :)
  21. You need to take into account the fact that the os runs its gui on the gpu. You probably had a Web browser open, also using gpu resources. Possibly Spotify, probably gpu again. And then theres memory fragmentation. Turn the texture quality down and you should see improvement. There is also a beta gizmo update brewing that should lead to less dropped frames but it won't fix drasticly overloaded and struggling system resource contention that drags on for multiple seconds.
