  1. Ok, well with Gizmo installed and in any other aircraft it works fine, 75fps. With IXEG 737 without Gizmo installed, it works fine (aircraft not usable though) With Gizmo and IXEG it pulses. 75-15 FPS External view it pulses when with one wingspan from the aircraft it pulses, move slightly further away and it’s stable at 75 FPS. Sorry if this isn’t the question you had, but it seems to be a combo of both.
  2. Beta makes no change, same problem...but I just tried again, set number of world objects to minimal, and the FPS are stable at 75fps. Set to low, and FPS are 75, but pulse down to 15 again every 3 seconds. So it looks like Gizmo is conflicting with an object used by the airport??
  3. Yeh I had the Beta, and swapped it for the stable to see if it worked, will put Beta back on and see.
  4. Have you tried different locations, I only have this problem at one addon airport, EGNS
  5. All plugins removed apart from Gizmo, same problem. Remove Gizmo and FPS are good. I asked Boundless for some support, maybe they have an idea on something they do "different" from other scenery creators.
  6. So a quick test again. Default EGNS with IXEG, no problem Payware EGNS with IXEG, FPS pulsing 75-15 every 2 seconds. Remove the Gizmo plugin completely and tried again and now no FPS problem. Payware EGNS with any other aircraft, no problem I can not see any plugin installed by Boundless, but will remove to confirm. Log file attached, I had a look through it and can't see anything. Log.txt
  7. Hey Jan, will test this shortly and post results within an hour.
  8. Does it look like this Exactly my problem, 75fps to 5fps to 75fps. Never seen anything like this, but only happening at EGNS payware airport. Really strange. Any other aircraft is fine, or take the IXEG to any other airport and it's fine!
  9. Hi Jan and team. I just posted the below comment on the Boundless forum. Really strange problem with I landed at EGNS yesterday, and trying it again today, I have the same problem. Only at EGNS, and only with the IXEG. Nothing changed in my sim apart from the new Gizmo Beta, and the new EGNS that I bought. I tried Gizmo Beta and standard but no change. It looks like a conflict rather than a scenery problem as any other aircraft works fine. Landing was interesting, sim plays at 0.25 speed for 3 secs, then 10x speed for 3 secs, and repeats! Then started from about 2nm from threshold of of runway. I recorded my flight as usual. You can see the problem here, it got worse though, I stopped recording as I thought maybe the recording was causing a problem https://youtu.be/UHxTxeokJBY Hey all I bought this airport and flew there last night in the IXEG 737. On finals, my sim started to have major FPS problems, it started pulsing, 60FPS to 20FPS to 60FPS and continued to landing and to parking. The sim was like slow mo...then went into fast motion and then slow again, every 3-4 seconds. I tried the return flight today, but can see my FPS counter is pulsing again, 60 to 17FPS every few seconds. I spent 10 mins testing with the following results. - Default EGNS with IXEG, not FPS problem - Boundless EGNS with any aircraft other than IXEG, no FPS problem - IXEG at any airport other than Boundless EGNS, no FPS problem. So there seems to be a conflict between these two products. If I go to external view of IXEG I get the same FPS pulse, but only when within about 30m of the aircraft. If I move the camera away further, the FPS returns to normal. Any idea's what this could be?
  10. I just had 3 go arounds at Dublin (winds), and thought on the first one I got 53%! Then used manual throttle to give me an estimated power. I recording it, and will watch the video's back and see if I can see what I did wrong. Although after I watched Tom's approach, I see he had the AT in arm, I flew this approach with it off, I'm not familiar with the way Tom uses the AT? On a "similar" subject Jan. My first approach I had about 3200kg of fuel, I normally land with about 3000-4000kg. -What amount of fuel would YOU declare as a fuel emergency? - Is this a fixed amount by the FAA or varies company to company? - Is the call to ATC a "Fuel emergency, ie declaring an emergency, or can a PAN PAN PAN be called". - I was considering a diversion to Belfast where it was calm winds. But is there a rule (FAA or SOP) that states after so many go-arounds, you must divert? I landed on the 4th attempt, with 2100kg. Got it all recorded and will edit it one evening for your entertainment..at the expense of my lack of go-around practice.
  11. Well, I was flying ASL Stansted to Dublin yesterday, wind shear etc, had either 3 go arounds! Think I recorded them, so might put a video together to show off my lack of go-around skills ( I need to read up on the exact procedure), but I was able to repeat this digit jumping with the MCP, only happens on finals, it really doesn't seem to be related to the underspeed limits, but it's definitely nothing to bother about. Will try and post a video and can also show this small "bug" and see what you think. Any links to the correct way to do a go-around in the IXEG?
  12. Ok, good points, let me check again this evening or tomorrow and will send some feedback.
  13. Hey all I have a strange bug that I was sort of aware of recently but done some testing last night on my flight of rubber ducks with a DHL 733 Cargo from Leipzig to East Midlands. When changing speed in the MCP, let's say we are at 200 and dialing back to 190 shortly before GS intercept, I want to change to 190, I drag or scroll, digit by digit from 200 to 190, but every time I get to around 193, with 3 more clicks to go, the speed jumps to 183 on the next click, I then need to increase it back to 190. Happens every time, with scroll or drag. 180 to 170, jumps to 163, 160 jumps to 145 then scroll back up to 150. I have it on video, can post it this evening if it helps explain it. I'm pretty sure it's not my mouse, as all other MCP functions work digit by digit. Can't confirm if it also does this at higher speeds, but can test that later. Cheers
  14. Yeh, I just did an illegal takeoff from EDDF on the northern runway, 25R I think, the taxi over the autobahn with Aerosoft EDDF is great! But I read a takeoff from there is VERY rare, but I was getting glideslope warnings on climb out for the ILS I used for landing, which was 25L, wasn't even close to it, not seen that before?
  15. Hi Jan Throttles are no big deal, can easily live with that. The weight problem is only on the second flight, I can’t produce this before the first flight. I’m sure I have done a few legs in one sim session pre patch and can’t remember seeing this issue. Will try a Gizmo reboot and see. No big deal either but maybe something to add as a possible bug for a future patch. and thanks for the compliment, I’m sure you have landed in EDDF at some point in your career?
  16. Here you go Jan. 00:00- 01:00 the throttle topic 03:00-04:00 landing 05:50 FMC setup for return, ZFW/GW https://youtu.be/OsNUio03e5Y
  17. Hi Jan, here is some feedback on some of the points I brought up. - ZFW/GW, I managed to reproduce this problem. For my flight tonight, EGNX to EDDF, West Atlantic, I had 17 tonnes of cargo and 7 tonnes of fuel. ZFW was 50.3, GW was correct in the FMC at 57.3, I flew the route, landed, taxi to the cargo ramp and shutdown to a turnaround state. Fuel remaining was 3.3, GW was showing as 54.3, I expected 53.6 but this is just a small error for whatever reason. I then open ground services, fuel to 7.0 for the return leg, make ZFW 51.3 (cargo load of 18, (I'm using 33.3 as empty weight)), and click instant. I now have 7.0 showing total in the fuel gauges. I go to init ref, put in 51.3 in ZFW, and GW changes to 55.3 in the FMC, the ground services box is showing 58.3 as it should be.To solve this, I go to preflight, turnaround, apply, then put the ZFW into the FMC as 51.3, and GW in FMC now shows correctly at 58.3. So it seems the FMC is making a miss calculation after refueling, but only after a flight is completed (since I tried to refuel before the flights and tried various fuel loads etc but it always worked). - I still have the throttle issue, when descending with AT on and idle thrust to try and loose speed, my flight idle is around 28. But the N1 is definitely influenced by my throttle position, the ghost throttles are at idle, if I leave my throttle forward I have about 31. This also happens if I'm cruising with 60 N1, if I move my throttle forward it increases to 62, if I move it less, it drops to 58, even though the throttle isn't moving. I can post a video later on this. I don't have any plugins, just a standard CH pro throttle with no CH software running. - ILS, I see these frequency being used for departure SID at many places, EGNX RW 27, EGPH 06 etc. I have a feeling putting it into Nav 2 instead of 1, gives the DME you need, but without the glideslope warning, needs more testing though. - Vr pitch up, so this time I got the Vr and gave full back deflection, nose came up gently and a bit slow but was not a problem. Really hard to tail strike, so that's a bonus, just seems quite different to before efm box being ticked, but more testing on this, I think I will probably prefer it. Can also post a video. Tonights flight was one of my most enjoyable, RW 27 at EGNX, 18kt cross wind, the aircraft is very controllable, no need for max rudder, needs left stick to keep the wing level though, on rotation the nose weather cocks to the left and you feel the crab....just amazing! Same with the landing, have to work to hit the spot, will post my landing later once I do a small edit to shorten it. Video will be online in 20 mins or so. Cheers Iain
  18. I think that flight was maybe my first with the flight model enabled, I usually pull near full stick to get the nose moving then it requires very little back stick to get it to continue to pitch, then another pull to get it through the dead zone just at liftoff, will try again soon, not enough time to try it tonight.
  19. Thanks for the prompt feedback soon, will try and get some time on it tonight and give you some more feedback.
  20. Hey Jan I am starting to get some more time on the aircraft again, maybe I found some bugs, or maybe user error or settings not set correctly. - If I add 12 tonnes payload, I get a ZFW of around 45.3, then I add 5.0 tonnes of fuel, and my GW should be 50.3. However, by inputting 45.3 into the FMC, with 5 tonnes of fuel showing in the gauges straight after a refuel, the FMC is giving me around 47 GW? The reason this caught my eye, was I took off from Stansted to Edinburgh, trim was correct at 4.2, pulled gently back at Vr, nothing..pulled harder, and maybe at 160kts she became airborne. Strange...as never had that before. So after a 2 hr turnaround, I setup the FMC for the return and checked the values carefully and saw this discrepancy in the FMC. I can put the GW manually into the FMC, but then the ZFW is calculated and is wrong. I'm at work now, but will do a flight tonight (East Midlands - Frankfurt (can you tell I would like the cargo version!)) and will check this again. - When trying to slow to flaps speed during decent, I feel that the speed isn't bleeding off like pre-patch. 1000fpm, idle thrust, speed brakes out, and speed is stable or even increasing slowly. The ghost throttle picture shows the throttles are idle, but N1 is around 31. If I move my own CH pro throttle back to idle, the N1 drops to 28, if I push my throttle forward slightly, N1 is 31, if I push it more forward, N1 stays at 31. So it seems my throttle is overriding the AT of the aircraft, but only by a small percent, and I think only at idle, but I need to test this. But this small amount of N1 makes a difference when trying to slow down. Not sure if this is a bug or some setup problem I have. I will test it more later. - Weather radar seems to be giving constant yellow returns in clear skies, not matter what altitude and pitch angle. Using SM pro (will switch to UWXP when it's stable). Can't remember having this problem before, I'm not expert in WX vs Terrain radar, I tend to takeoff with terrain on, and at a few thousand feet, switch of terrain and put on Wx. Bug, user error? - If you leave Nav 1 on the ILS frequency, on takeoff, you usually get a glideslope warning. Something I'm familiar with in this aircraft since the beginning. Is this simulated correctly? There are plenty SID that require turns at a certain height, or distance from the airport, with the distance being from the ILS, so the ILS must be tuned to follow the procedure. Maybe I am missing a trick here? - Lastly, the flight model, wow, I put on experimental flight mode. Now she yaws and wallows through the air, you actually have to fly it, and put in the effort to hit the touchdown zone even in a calm breeze. like stirring spaghetti with a long spoon! Reminds me of my glider days in Scotland, stick and rudder were never sitting still. Absolutely love it! This is non beta, so don't know if it's the patch, the flight model, ASXP or something else..., but it's great!
  21. I have a but where outside is noisy, and as you move away to any distance, 1km even, the noise level is the same. Easy way to fix is to hit the turnaround option again in the options menu and sound functions correctly. Seem to be a bug I can reproduce often but I'm not sure what triggers it, easy to fix though. Maybe that's the problem you have?
  22. UWXP is playing havoc with many things, I'm going to install it, but Facebook support is on fire just now, hopefully it's stable in a week or so and then I can commit.
  23. Never tried assigning a button, I normally just give the throttles a blip forward after exiting the runway and they pop down, lazy mans way! Or I stow them away with a mouse click while doing flaps up, radar off, TCAS off etc, which are all located down in the area of the cockpit.
  24. Good info Jan, auto brakes don’t work if you turn them on after td but above 60kts, but I don’t think we need to fix that! Working when spoiler is not armed would be good, obviously not for me, I have never ever ever ever forgot any checklist item ever!
