Hi Chris, there are many unknowns. I showed only that a simple disconnecting of the internet cable does not lead to an x-plane crash. At least in my case. But I can't say what happens when xenviro is able to connect to the weather server and there goes sometimes wrong. Imagine the case when the server get's to many requests at once and cannot handle them. This is a very complicated thing. As Donald Rumsfeld said "the known unknowns". The whole thing is somewhat foggy . Cheers Tom

Hi Chris, Oh, you don't use xEnviro. This is a valuable and important information. I don't know XACARS. Does it run within x-planes plugin system or is it x-plane independent (you start programme by yourself). Greetings Tom

Hi, You are right I read some of these posts, but I'm afraid it's not so simple as many suggest. You can simulate a server down problem by yourself. Steps: - Load x-plane with xEnviro and the default Cessna such as at LOWI - in the xEnviro settings select a weather download intervall of 5 minutes - wait for the first time the weather (clouds) appear to see if xEnviro is active - simulate a server down by pulling your internet cable from your computer - wait at least 30 minutes and see what happens - would be nice to hear from your testresults Ciao and greetings to Bella Italia Tom

I I have tried to debug the crash to desktop problem as follows… My steps: 1. disabled all addons and all orthoscenery 2. loaded x-plane 3. launched fiddler (web debugger, btw. thank you Telerik!) 4. waited for xEnviro to download the weather for the first time and then 5. disconnected my router 6. reconnected my router after several attempts from xEnviro to connect to the internet Results: (please have a look at the two screenshots) - xEnviro does not crash when I disconnect my computer from the internet - xEnviro tries to download the weather after the interval the user selected in xEnviros settings (>= 5 min) but does not crash when I disconnect my computer from the internet - xEnviro just loads the same (old) weather again and again. - after reconnected to the internet xEnviro downloads the updated weather and does not crash. Summary: It is no longer easy to say that xEnviro is responsible for the ctd’s. This is not an absolution, maybe their server delivers occasionally corrupt data or the stability of xEnviro degrades after a while. The interaction with other plugins, certain values in their settings could also be a problem. Tom 1. No internet connection - router disconnected 2. Hi guys, I had a crash to desktop today on a flight from LDZD to EDDM, short before turning to final approach. I don't need to mention that this is especially frustrating because you cannot save the flight situation with this otherwise wonderful plane. I don't know who is the culprit, X-Plane, xEnviro or the IXEG 737. If it's xEnviro or x-plane then it would be the first time that these programs crash. Suspicious is that at the exact time xEnviro begins downloading the weather the crash occures (see logfile, last entry). Could be by chance? However, being able to reload the situation and finish the flight would be a wonderful thing. RESUME: I was too optimistic. A few things work, most do not. The MCP737PRO is a wonderful piece of hardware, but it is not ready for the IEXG 737 Classic at this time. If you want to buy it, ask cpflight for compatibility first. I do not recommend pressing any button on the cpflight hardware MCP, because this leads most of the time to an endless trimwheel loop. I use the software MCP buttons on the IEXG 737 Classic in conjunction with the hardware knobs (not buttons). For example: If I want to change the altitude, I preselect the altitude on my hardware and then press LVL CHG on my software MCP. If I want to change the heading, I press HDG SEL on the software MCP and dial the prefered heading on my hardware, or I dial in the heading with the hardware knob and then select HDG SEL on the software. The course selector dial (captain side) works just in one direction (from hardware to software). Hi dr_nerdrage, please read my first reply to Aeropayo. This screenshot below shows the content of the cpflight dir. The CPflight.ini file within this directory has one single line with a com-port assignment. I do not see a file, where I can make or change datarefs. The Setting.exe is just for setting the com-port. The MCP737PRO is a great piece of hardware but worthless if the developer (cpflight) does not provide updates to new planes. The consequence is, that the buyers will votes with there feet. Hi Paco, I’m new to X-Plane. Before I was a convinced p3d guy. IEXG’s 737 Classic changed my mind. Preconditions: At the time of the change to XP, I had and still have a functional MCP installed with the following drivers from the cpflight website. a) for prepard3d the driver InstP3D_347_v3.zip for usb usbdriver32_64.zip with theses drivers I was able to use the cpflight mcp in prepare3d with the following planes - pdmg 737 - realair turbine duke - and a few carendo planes. After the change to X-Plane: I downloaded this driver from the cpflight website and installed it InstXplane64_103.zip within X-Plane I tried (via the plugin menu) to connect to the mcp and I got a „Port Open Failed“ error. the apparent solution I search the web and read somewhere, that XPUIPC has to be installed for proper function of the mcp. I installed it and it worked. But wait… the weird part today I checked the plausibility of my solution and removed XPUIPC from the X-Plane plugins directory …\FlightSim\XP\X-Plane 10\Resources\plugins If my solution were correct, the mcp should not work. But it did. To be honest, I do not know why the driver works now and failed to connect before Sorry Tom

Hi Paco, I own the MCP737PRO from CPFLIGHT. I had a testflight a few days ago and I came to the conclusion that the CPFLIGHT MCP is currently NOT 100% compatible with IEXG 737 Classic. But I was able to use the heading, course and altitude knobs to dial in the proper values. The vertical speed dial works too. But at some point (I still have to figure out the reason) the trim wheel of the airplane went crazy and came to an endless spinning loop. I sent a mail to the developers in Italy. They told me, that they have currently no plan to fix this problem. It's a great pity, because flying this superb plane from IEXG together with a hardware MCP is stunning. Kind regards Tom
