  1. Hello, You are welcome to come down and fly the ixeg 733 in my sim that uses all real parts as you are not that far away. As for VNAV, i had the privilege of having a real 737 pilot over a few times and we shook down the VNAV issue. Here is the reality, is it perfect, no ( neither is the real plane) is it usable, YES! If you build a proper route and hand build a viable descent, thet makes sense for energy management. it works! We flew a few LNAV VNAV flights and once we figured out what it needed, it accomplished it flawlessly. The problem is 2 fold, hit or miss nav data and ixeg's method of interpreting that sometimes screwy data. 2nd is the very very complex calculations of drag, speed, weight, time, distance, etc isn't perfect and you have to help it out. I mean come on, not to brag but if I can calculate in my head a manual VS descent that stays on profile, any of you can do it as well. Just apply it to the descent in vnav by verifying waypoints and altitudes and airspeed required. Any other words, by the smarter human and fly the plane and make it do what you know is correct. Rob
  2. What is so "Extremely disappointing" about this plane? Do tell other than some eye candy in the cabin, perfect vnav, Holds, none of which classify as extreme! Rob
  3. IXEG is alive and not dead. Patience is key. News forth coming in the near future and in the meantime, enjoy the great aircraft as it is. VNAV tip for you users, delete any of the A or B after an altitude restriction and double check the numbers. It works 1000% better when you do that. Example jenny 210/8000A Change to 210/8000 Rob
  4. I have a real ADF radio interfaced to the IXEG and here is what I found. The dialed frequency never change in the ixeg 3d cockpit but the hardware is indeed changing the frequency in the sim and it works perfectly. Here is the dataref I use, sim/cockpit/radios/adf1_freq_hz
  5. What are these "major" features that are missing. When I flew it last night it had 2 engines, a wing, an instrument panel, rudder and horizontal stab. What else major do you want?
  6. Just an FYI for you Chris737, in the real plane, the starter cutoff switch is controlled by a relay in the N2 gauge which activates at 46% N2. I have real gauges in my sim and i have found no problems with realistic engine starts. I have the exact gauges you show in the above video. Rob
  7. Morten, Just for clarification, the pilot that flew my sim currently flies the exact aircraft as the ixeg 733 Jet2Go still has the classic series in use. Also he gave the ixeg very high praise for authenticity other than the flare issue and made it clear to him that was an xplane issue and not the ixeg. As we all know, x-plane is a moving target. Rob
  8. Just so you know i wasn't knocking your approach as Lord knows most of mine are not any better. LOL But your approach helps mask the issue of the XP11 issues near the ground.
  9. Thanks Morten and I agree it started with the update Austin did in XP11. I put a stupid amount of hours on my sim weekly so i probably notice more then most and can tell when something has changed. I think my setup allows me to feel or sense things in a different way as i don't use much automation on my flights. /W and OEM for the win. Rob
  10. Watched the NY vid, you dove it down the last few hundred feet, What was your GW? You didn't have much fuel so I will guess around 104K lbs, if so your airspeed was way high at what looked to be 145, Blury so hard to tell exact numbers. If I fly it in that manner it is easier to flare and hold since it is coming in Hot. I also bet you are using a joystick It's ok, just an observation Rob
  11. Just my humble .02 cents worth and I will say this, I had a real and current 733 pilot from the UK in the sim and he noticed the exact same thing. Bottom falls out at 50ft and we have to bury the yoke in our gut to save it. You will never notice it using a joystick, guarantee it. I have my yoke set to boeing specs on travel and it is impossible to land realistically with real control movements. I have fooled it temporarily by limiting amount of aft control movement in the calibration setup within x-plane and it is much closer to normal now but still not "right" All of us need to remember that control set-up, plane set-up and x-plane set-up, all have an affect on our perception of feel. But when I saw the description of the other poster's I had to chime in to confirm the presumed issue. It is there but why and how I have no clue. I just know it is different from XP10 version and Pre-11.11 i believe. Rob
  12. Easiest way is type into the search bar what you are looking for.
  13. Datarefs were added to allow people to interface with the autopilot annunciators and various modes of automation when using the AP. Example, when you disconnect the A/T you get a flashing red indicator that when pushed, cancels the flashing red light. Same with AP and also there is an amber FMC light. Then when flying with AP on in the upper part of the EADI, you see what mode the AP is in, LNAV, HDG, VOR/LOC etc as well as the pitch modes like VNAV, VS, LVL CHG, etc. Lastly you have the CRZ, CLB, CON, etc modes of AT. There were also some added for Flight Director Bars and LNAV cross track but none of these are working at the moment and they are aware of it. All this was done with sim builders in mind. Rob
  14. That is bad news for sure. Is there not another person capable of linking the datarefs? Not trying to be pushy as I know this is for builders and not your general buyers but my project and a few others were relying heavily on the promise of supporting builders as well. If you could at least get the FD and xtrk error working it would save some projects from ending. Thanks Rob
  15. I checked all the new datarefs you guys added, (thank you by the way) but unfortunately they are always reporting 0.000000 Can you confirm and let me know. Thanks Rob
  16. I can toggle it on but not off. Is there something i need to change in the LUA script?
  17. If you are correct then that means the ixeg has it wrong on the N1 bug manual setting logic. No big deal either way but clarification would be great. Rob
  18. Ok I admit i've hit a block wall here and need your help. Using the classic round gauge style engine instruments, on the N1 gauge you have the N1 bug ref. Push the little knob in and it displays the FMC desired N1 setting and the digital display blanks out. Pull knob out and you manually set desired N1 and digital display shows the setting as well. I tried this, set #1 to 77% and left #2 in auto. Selected an N1 Lvl Change on MCP, #1 eng went to 77% N1 and #2 went to 88%. Ok, so it worked, or so I thought. Since I have the real gauge I wanted to interface this feature. I have the schematics for the gauge and 2 different POH's for the 737. I searched and searched and found nothing that said when in manual N1bug limit setting what happens. In fact it says Autothrottle not affected in the real manuals. If thats the case then why in the ixeg 733 did it the #1 engine not go past my setting? See there is NO output in the real gauge to tell anything in the plane what you have the N1 bug set to in manual mode. I reached out to some real 737 pilot friends, they tested in a real sim, said its for reference only. So what gives here, is the ixeg 733 wrong? Manuals wrong? Other pilots wrong? If my explanation isn't clear let me know and i'll try again. If the ixeg is correct then could someone please show me where the signal comes from or where it goes or what computer controls that system as it is not in any of my documentation. Thanks, Rob
  19. Use your brain and calculate, much more fun and rewarding to fly on PE in /A mode. Thats why I like the 733, modern engines with old school instrument flying. FYI the simple formula used by most will get you at all the restrictions. Even my young kids can do it. Rob
  20. Andrea, It will be compatible with the default 737 and the Popular freeware modded 737, can't remember the name at the moment. Rob
