  1. I just found the other threads about the Beta Gizmo. I re installed the aircraft using the original Gizmo and the aircraft loads properly. Shall I post in that thread? This can then be deleted
  2. Hi All, I have a 2nd copy of X-Plane 11 (11.50b9) that I use to test Vulkan. I just installed my IXEG 737 & activated it. When the aircraft loads I have no preferences panel and the PFD, ND & FMC's are all black. Any idea what is happening? The aircraft loads OK in 11.41
  3. Well I am just completing my 2nd flight of the evening in XP11. 1st was LEPA - EGNM and now EGNM - LFMN The whole experience has been fantastic. Followed the thread to make the mods in planemaker and she starts up and taxis beautifully. I know this is far from a full XP11 version but I just wanted to say thank you guys. Keep up the great work. Will try in XP10 tomorrow
  4. Hi There, Try the attached. I find the data pretty accurate, the planned ZFW & TOW are almost spot on when the aircraft is loaded with the fuel from the PFPX generated flight plan. I have been using it since I got this bird and never had an issue. Hope this helps Richard IXEG 737.txt
  5. I have no issues whatsoever with GHD either
  6. Sorry I was having a brain fart yesterday lol
  7. Thanks for the reply, Was that setting a typo ? 7556, Can you even set the FOV to this? Richard
  8. Thanks Jan Is the purpose of the white marker a reference point for taxiing and for final approach?
  9. Thanks for the reply, I tried a FOV of 80 and I think I have got it, I must have missed that one lol I can now see a small white marker by the windscreen wiper from the regular position, is this correct? I hope so because it sure makes hitting the centre line when landing a hell of a lot easier lol Richard
  10. Hi All, I wonder if you can help me, I can never quite get the FOV and positioning inside the cockpit quite right. I have messed around so much I am a bit lost lol I am running a 42" LED TV with a 1920 X 1080 resolution and a current FOV setting of 90. How does the attached screenshot look? I am not sure how much I should be able to see while sitting in the captains seat. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
  11. I guess I could try PFPX but I think due to issues some people were seeing the developers stopped all imports of coroutes
  12. No response from the dev? Shame
  13. Thank you, By going into this screen and adjusting the visibility slider are you not then disabling real world weather? I assume it takes the last weather snapshot for where you are then applies to the rest of the world
  14. I am sick at the moment so my brain isn't functioning properly so sorry for the stupid question but how do you reduce the visibility to 25nm in Xplane? I have a pretty decent system but whenever I touch the draw distance in SMP beyond 2,500km I run into FPS issues
  15. Hi All, I was wondering when we will be able to start importing flight plans again from applications like PFPX? I know there were some issues resulting in this not being available but I never had any issues and would like to be able to use the generated flight plans once again Regards Richard
  16. Hi Cameron, Sorry I was just about to post but you beat me too it, It was my stupid internet provider. Apparently there was static on my line reducing my 100mb/s download speed to less than 1mb/s !! I could not download the 737 Classic either. After a call to them they did some tests and confirmed there was an issue. Everything has now downloaded and installed. Thank you for the prompt reply Richard
  17. Hi, I just got back from vacation and tried to install the lates version of SMP. I have tried 3 times now and each time when downloading the latest core files the installer just hangs, This time I only got to 2500 KB before the progress just stopped and the connection times out. Any ideas what is going on? Now my IXEG 737 will not load properly !. The aircraft loads with no preference menu and now I have 2 very badly drawn pilots sitting in the cockpit. Wish I had never started this ! Regards Richard
  18. There are numerous ones out there, best to choose the one that best suits your ability. The rubber band mod is slightly easier than replacing the springs but will need changing more frequently
  19. Have you modified your yoke JeanClaude?
  20. Have you tried the well documented modification to remove the springs and awful detent from the Saitek Pro? I gave mine to my son when I got an X-55 Rhino. I was thinking of borrowing it again to revisit the mod and see what it's like. I was also looking at maybe one of the CH yokes but I am not sure if they're much better. I'd love a Yoko but wifey might have something to say about me dropping $1,200 CDN on it
  21. Just wondering if the issue of FPS loss during flights has been addressed in the new version 3.2.2? Richard
  22. I actually repeated one of my test flights last night, EGFF to LEPA. This time I added the HDMesh V3 for the whole region the route occupied. I also was running GPU-Z & Core Temp. Interestingly enough I did see the FPS start to dip to mid 20's as I approached the Pyrenees. While this happened my VRAM was up around 4GB. I do expect to see this with HDMesh & Extended DSF on but my GTX980 TI Strix still had 2GB headroom. Temperatures were also exactly where they have been for the last few days. I immediately disabled SMP then re enabled it and as everyone else states the issues goes away. It would seem that this is an issue with SMP. I think the degree of FPS degradation does depend on individual situations.
  23. OK so last night I loaded up the HD Mesh V3 tile for the UK and flew from Glasgow to Gatwick without any issues whatsoever using these settings My Flightsim is currently setup in our spare bedroom/office and gets the sun all afternoon. It can get quite warm in there even with the A/C going full tilt. One of the things I did notice before is that with my current overclock (i3570K @ 4.7GHZ) my pc temps were getting a little higher than I would have liked so for my initial testing I reset my bios to defaults and performed a few of the vanilla flights like this. The temps were back in the mid 40's. On Tuesday I used the auto overclock feature of my bios and ended up with a respectable 4.2GHZ overclock. I have been running like this since then and monitored VRAM usage & temps on every flight. My max temp on any core never exceeds 60 degrees Celsius and they typically sit around 45 degrees Celsius. As I mentioned in a previous post X-Plane has never run so well, Maybe I just found the magical sweetspot you will see that the settings I have are pretty high and I am beginning to wonder if the root of my problem as described in my opening post was my pc temps getting too high so maybe the advice I could give those still having issues is to run several tests using appropriate software to monitor both VRAM usage and CPU temp. I also tweaked the settings of the water cooler for my CPU to start ramping up at a lower temp. I am planning to move my whole sim-pit/office down to the basement where it is much cooler and may try pushing the overclock back to the previous levels. In the meantime I will carry on adding more HD Mesh back to my install and see what happens. Hope my experience helps others that are struggling Richard
  24. Well I haven't visited this thread in a few days so I thought I would update, I decided over the last weekend to format my hard drive and install windows 10. I installed the latest Nvidia driver then a vanilla installation of X-Plane 10.45 & the IEXG 737. I did a couple of flights with the basic settings and default weather & clouds without any issues. I then installed SMP & RWC and did a couple more flights. All is good so far. I started to install some airports along with the relevant libraries then the rest of my fleet, E175, 737-200, A320, A330 & FF767. Last night I flew from Cardiff to Majorca with no problems. I did begin to wonder if the issue was caused by the HDMesh. I haven't installed any yet. To be honest default scenery looks pretty good ! My next flight when I have time will be from Glasgow to Gatwick, one of the previous flights I had issues with. I will also install the HD mesh tile for the UK. The other thing that may be worth trying for those of you still having issues is to delete the preferences folder and let X-plane rebuild it. One thing I have noticed is that X-Plane seems to run super smoothly with Windows 10 and so far I am glad I made the switch I will report back after my next test Richard
  25. OK thank you for the advice, I will try that. Where is the log file located for SMP? Do I have to do anything special to get it ? Richard
