  1. Hi there! You'll want to install WED (world editor) and edit out the conflicting scenery areas. WED is a free download that is provided by the creators of X-Plane. I'm not able to post a more in depth how to right this minute, but if you have questions after exploring WED and need more help please post questions and someone will likely be able to reply quicker than I. Welcome to the community!
  2. This topic is closed. Simply put, give credit where it's due if it's due.
  3. The XPFW aircraft do not have exterior objects, only interior VC objects. You are likely exporting the acf as an OBJ and comparing that in Blender/AC3D, claude181. As Michael has stated and credited, his files utilize the exterior objects from Hiroshi. Permission for this has clearly been granted and shown. You are suggesting that the FLIGHT MODEL obj (.acf file) is likely copied and made for his aircraft, and is in violation of copyright. Perhaps this is correct, but I'm going to throw a wrench in this one... As the founder of XPFW, and a person who knows the people at XPFW all on a face to face basis, I'd say no one cares that the aircraft file was used from 2008. That SAID, credit should be given, so if such is the case, Michael, please consider making that part of it right. End of story. We don't need to debate and point fingers in here all day. Lord knows the community could use some free aircraft that make the sim look better anyhow.
  4. Yes. In what scenarios or if ever it will occur for you is another story though. On my windows dev machine with everything cranked up I am unable to flop the sim, but I am sure someone out there may be able to hit that wall. Entire plane is driven by Gizmo.
  5. That's kinda the purpose of reading the manuals that we take the time to write, isn't it?
  6. Goran or Theo can both attest to the fact that glass and things like nav/strobe lights have been big sticking points from my end. We're all very happy with those results.
  7. Hi, Andy, Our system shows your activation has not been going through because you are not using proper casing in your e-mail when entered in the form. You've been using all lowercase letters, whereas you purchased and have an account with the 'A' and 'G' being capitalized. P.S., we have a customer support contact form for situations like this, and it will typically garner you relatively fast replies. Since no one on these forums aside from X-Aviation representatives can tend to things like this, your best bet is always our contact form. Happy flying, and thanks for the purchase!
  8. There are no plans to further develop the CRJ other than to maintain its compatibility as it stands now.
  9. You realize you're replying to a quote made in November of 2012, close to when 64-bit first came out, right? Aside from PilotEdge, are there even ANY online flying plug-ins for VATSIM or IVAO that are even 64-bit? I'm not aware of any. The baby arrived weeks ago. Ben has a ton of drive and continues to work on Gizmo daily, which is rather impressive given the circumstances.
  10. How about reading post #2 of this topic?
  11. Gizmo is currently in beta: http://forums.x-pilot.com/topic/5024-gizmo-64bit-beta/
  12. No, Linux isn't yet supported but is planned eventually at the moment. For now the focus is on Mac and Windows, so that will be how we will initially launch more than likely.
  13. I guess that's twice now you've gotten responses in a manner you weren't intending as of late... Indeed it was. In October of 2012 it was announced this update would be for version 10 only in this very thread. If everyone misinterprets that's usually a clear indication that you're not being clear or not thinking clearly. You can't blame everyone else for thinking the same way (as evidently we all do since we continue to all misinterpret you). I'd say given the majority in that analysis, the problem does not lie with us. You represent about 99% of our customer base with this statement. We can't please everyone, and we have to continue to progress forward for the well being of our business, our customers, and the health of X-Plane's community as a whole. Allocating resources to a continually declining customer base driven platform (version 9) is not in our best interests, nor in the products best interests, nor even in our customers' best interests as a group majority and longterm outlook.

  15. It amazes me sometimes how many people cannot be pleased or appreciative.Products are done when they're done and the quality is good.
  16. We're not looking to integrate cargo specific features at all. The aircraft fuselage and interior has been modified but the cockpit will not be. We could, of course, go strictly for reality and dismiss the cargo variant from the package as a whole if this bothers people.
  17. I'm not 100% sure here, but there are many variants of the Saab rolling around, and we've had to stick to "one". So many different panel configs, etc. It may be so that Saab standardized the Cargo variants, but I don't have any clarification on this. Please be aware this is modeled after the A. Our primary concern is the passenger variant, and if the cargo variant has mods in it where smoke detectors are removed then we're not really concerned about that. The cargo version is thrown in as a bonus, and these are small factors that will have to be lived with. Minus the cabin differences visually, if it's in the 340A passenger systems, it's in the cargo version. Non-issue, really.
  18. While Steven is off being his childish norm, my thanks to birdy.dma and Kris. This customer also sent in an e-mail to us the same day he posted the original thread, and we took care of him there.
  19. That's correct. That's essentially verbatim what Tom stated, so you have that assumption correct. For an $80 sim it is quite impressive in its ability to provide realism and enjoyment within the realm of reasonable expectation for the price. It can be debated all day long, but of all the sims out there in this price range, many of us feel X-Plane provides the most realistic approach you can get. Morten can answer this further, but I view this answer as a 'yes' and a 'no' one. We already know that X-Plane's approach by itself is not 100% there, but does quite a good job for any enthusiast or developer. In the instance of Morten and the IXEG guys, they want more out of X-Plane (going off of what he has already said) and they know how to get it, even if it takes reverse engineering. They are bending the sim to be even more realistic than it's intended to be, and above all, we can't expect these guys to share every secret they have in their inventory.
