  1. Ah, thank you for the beautiful pictures - they bring back fond memories of flying the Classic for 12 years! The NG is supposed to fly fairly similar to the Classic (although most variants are a bit heavier), I am sure you will enjoy it!! I assume the difference might be like the one between 747-400 and 747-8 (the ones I fly now), they are subtle but noticeable nonetheless. Good luck and success with your type rating, all the best, Jan

  2. The bulk of that time was spent on the CL650 update, as there was quite a bit to take care of. As there's only 2 of us, we have to prioritize the work according to various factors. Is there an ETA? Not one that we can safely stick to. We loosely planned to push out the last update for the CL650 within 2 years of release. That deadline passed 3 months ago. We're putting in the hours to get both the TBM and CL650 done as soon as we can, as we want to move on to the next project. All I ca n promise is we aren't going anywhere, and we're working to get everything done.

  3. Hoped there would be a secrete option But I read some things in this forum and I understand the cancelation of XP11 support. Only then the upgrade policy makes sense. So, perhaps we see us in the future.

  4. Hello, I'd like to join the question. I have both X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12 installed. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing fluctuating performance in XP12. Toliss runs great, but Felis not so much. With the IXEG 737, I'm worried I might encounter similar issues in XP12. Does the purchased version work in XP11 or not at all? If so, I'll just stick to flying in the old sim and wait for XP12 to hopefully run better with future updates. Best regards, Timo

  5. Hi everyone. I’m doing the 737NG type and had the opportunity to know the 737 300/400/500 pilot training device. It’s loyally beautiful. An authentic legendary classic. Pity not to have the opportunity to fly in the real. I share here with you my emotion and satisfaction. Thanks IXEG for the experience. IMG_1873.mov IMG_1870.mov

  7. Think? I know. I deal with customers daily. It's my job. It's not a statement about one's intelligence. It's about the common occurrence of NOT reading. 50 products is more than a few. My data is a lot more relevant and true than anything you'll get your hands on. That's about all I can say to that. I'm sorry you're displeased, but I've been doing this (selling products) for 16 years. I don't care to be right, I'm just stating the facts as they are. I hope you find products that make you happy, and while I find your future purchasing decisions a bit odd, that's your choice and I respect it. Happy flying!

  8. Lol good point. I believe you but I did a survey a couple months ago (from a popular flight sim website) asking me which simulators I use most and after I finished the survey it showed me the results which actually showed many more X-Plane users are using still using X-Plane 11 version 11.55 over X-Plane 12. Another strange result that surpised me is that some X-Plane users are still using an outdated version of X-Plane 11 (version 11.30 I believe but I could be wrong) for some reason. I am not asking for continued support and updates for XP11 add-ons. As I said before, I would be happy to buy the XP11 version of the IXEG 737 as is with no developer support or new updates. All I'm asking is that they make it available for sale, I don't think that's asking too much and it will in no way hurt development of current products.

  9. It appears that you are not signed into your X-Aviation account in Gizmo, so the G5s aren't activating. Sometimes the sign in window doesn't appear on X-Plane monitor when it is positioned at a negative display coordinate, as shown here. Temporarily open X-Plane in windowed mode instead of full screen and then the sign in dialog should show up.

  11. I know that the CL600-series is generally operated at M0.80 at cruise, and I am personally totally fine with that. Still, out of interest: does any operator ever fly at max cruise? (Bombardier itself specifies a max cruise of M0.82, so I don't know where the MCRZ of M0.83 in the Hot Start FMS comes from). I have the impression that a good portion of operators go even lower, e. g. to M0.78 in cruise, even when not having to squeeze out max range. Is it just a fuel burn/cost issue, or does the Challenger display some unwanted qualities at speeds higher than M0.80?

  13. In the G5.cfg file for the aircraft being used, in a text editor, change the line for "g5_mbbarounit" to be set to 1 which will switch to MB/HPA units.

  14. Personally, I was only impressed with Carenado's aircraft when I first started (back) simming with XP in 2017. Didn't take me long to figure out that most of their aircraft was light on systems modeling. However, the texture modeling is what sold me. If Carenado want to avoid XP, I say, "good rid...".

  15. This crash bug should be sorted with the next update. Custom animations aren't handled during replay by X-Plane, so make sure to do any replays before messing with the doors or anything else obvious from the outside.

  18. A bug was found with OpenGPWS, the terrain plugin that powers the RealSimGear G500 and Entegra avionics terrain database, causing a potential CTD with the parsing of the new ORBX True Earth scenery. A replacement for this plugin as an interim fix (the next released updates of the G500 and TorqueSim SR2Xs with the RealSimGear Entegra avionics will include these updates) is available for download here. To install: RealSimGear G500: In each aircraft where you have installed the RealSimGear G500, within that aircraft directory's /plugins/ folder, replace the OpenGPWS plugin with the provided new version. TorqueSim SR20 and SR22 Series with Entegra Avionics: In each of those aircraft /plugins/ folder, replace the OpenGPWS plugin with the provided new version.

  19. Yes, we load in the X-Plane 12 navigation data, whether default or updated via Navigraph or Aerosoft

  20. The TEGB bug is triggered even if you aren't in the region, I think it's caused when the G500 reads the data from a wide area around your current location (perhaps 1000NM or maybe the entire globe ?) which includes the scenery.

  21. It's not the wind, it's X-Plane 12 itself. Austin introduced a bug that causes the whole aircraft to jiggle around every so slightly on the wheels and this perturbs the camera. We are still waiting for a permanent fix, however it's worked around in the V1.8 beta.

  22. Wait... I was able to reproduce it and looking into this.
    1 point
  23. Yes, we will be integrating this into the G500 ourselves (we build our own builds of OpenGPWS that we deploy with our products, but that is mostly a technicality). In the interim, replacing the current OpenGPWS with the one provided here should handle what you need. We don't touch the DSFs ourselves in any of our products so the bug here should be contained exclusively within OpenGPWS.

  26. The default global scenery is at the minimum of plausibility, alternatively there is the one made from simheaven here which is based on OSM data, it's always plausible, it means that you could find the buildings really present, but maybe with height-shape-color a little different, however it is much better than the default Trains and cars often disappear or appear out of nowhere. It's plausible that there are rails and roads as VFR references, but cars and trains should avoid looking at them

  29. Yup. That's true of a lot of freeware and some payware. Nevertheless, there's still freeware that is worth the time and energy to explore. Remember, it's people like us, who develop the freeware and upload it. If you were to create and upload an airplane, you'd be under no obligation to maintain it. Personally, I grateful that I can find some great free stuff.

  30. Not yet. The issue is that running, in my windows machine, X-Plane in debugging mode, is extremely slow. I hope to find the solution as soon as possible, and go for release.

  33. Not to be rude, but X-Plane 12 has been out for over a year now, and devs had access to the SDK even longer than that. Is there any ballpark ETA? Is it weeks? Months? Next Year? X-Plane 12 runs so much better on my PC and I miss the TBM! I'm starting to get withdrawal shakes Its my favorite plane to fly!!

  35. Once you’re down to those levels the sensors are unreliable and not all fuel in the tanks is even usable. You should be planning to land with 4,000 lbs, obviously something went rather wrong in your fuel planning.

  37. @skiselkov@Pils Hi guys! Finally had a chance to test the descent yesterday; had the smoothest and most pleasant descent ever in my 231 hours on the CL60. The problem was indeed what @skiselkov diagnosed: having the GND SPOILERS set at AUTO instead of ARM did the trick. Thank you very much guys for taking the time to troubleshoot my issue, and pointing me in the right direction. You have no idea how much I appreciate! Have a great day!

  38. Let me say a few things about the criticism towards our DC-3. First of all, any criticism is welcomed. Even harsh ones; we can skip the harshness and see if there is any value into them, that will help us to improve. We understand that not everything is perfect and complete. Personally, I can't recall any release that was so successful that the aircraft never needed an update or fixes. On the other hand, the aircraft is far from unusable. About price: There is some criticism to be too high. You'll decide about this, but keep in mind that you get 2 aircraft, not one. While there are a lot of common elements between the two, also there is big divergence, not only on the visual part, but also to how the systems operate from the base level. For example, more than 5,000 lines of (lua) code is only for the Modern variant. There are things that might not be visible on the first sight. For example, the radio stack on the Modern variant. Except the GPS which is based on X-Plane 530 (with also support for RXP 530, and option to use the 650 instead), all other units are simulated to 95+% compared with the real life units. Include all modes, and all operations, from how to set the baro pressure on the autopilot, to store and recall stored frequencies in the COM2 radio, to OBS function on the NAV2, timers for NAV2 and 2 ADFs, to how to change your transponder ID, which initially is set by the tail number of each airframe, and much more. We are working now, harder than ever, to bring to you the updates as soon as possible, and also add things to cover user specific needs. We are deeply appreciate the money you pay for DC3, and will continue to fix and improve DC3.

  39. Status report, I just got my hands on V12.06....and the reverse seems only marginally better, still not right IMO. I expect a back and forth with Laminar on this one...and hope we can see eye to eye. If not, I'll have to overwrite and rewrite my own prop governor...not my first choice as it'll take a bit....*sigh -tk

  42. Unlike other aircraft types in the Collins auto flight system VNAV is a modifier on the standard vertical modes (VS, FLC, etc.). It basically instructs the system to respect altitude constraints in the flight plan, and if enabled, use speed targets from the FMS. When descending in VPATH on an arrival and initial approach, similar to an ILS, once the plane is flying towards the final approach point for the RNAV/RNP then one can push the APPR button and VGP will arm/capture. Once active the plane will descend on the final glide path below the preselected altitude. Hope that helps.
