  2. I use MFG Crosswind, very happy with them. http://mfg.simundza.com/products Do a search on youtube and you find a lot of reviews. No need for 3rd party software. Just calibrate (with provided software) and you are up and running.

  4. Hi Matthias. Thanks for your interest in Gizmo.. You cannot use either TCP or UDP directly. This is done for simplicity and because it's rarely needed. Nor can you add functionality to Gizmo via DLL's or Lua Rocks. This is done as a security measure. Gizmo has various security sandbox features. The functionality available is tightly controlled to protect users and content authors alike. Gizmo has a web server API for GET / PULL of data but it's not really suitable for high speed comms. (It has no facility for web-sockets yet...) This is a corner case that Gizmo simply isn't very good at. I would approach the problem this way; Write a "driver script" in Python that uses Sandys Plugin. Use this to access TCP/IP directly and translate your data packets into custom datarefs owned by either gizmo or the python script. Write the remainder of your tooling/app in Gizmo if you wish... I prefer the syntax and you may find use in the rest of the API that it offers. Hope that helps!

  5. Sorry to hear you're having a hard freeze failure. I've read through your logs and data in the Process.docx file indicates that you're experiencing some kind of OpenGL failure. I suggest disabling the IXEG graphical special effects (like contrails) wherever possible and see if that helps. I also noticed that you have XSquawkbox in your log files. This has been a fairly troublesome plugin in the past and would definitely be a suspect had you not stated that you've already tried it without any additional addons. I would complete any further testing without XSB installed just to be sure.

  6. I think this is actually due to a change in the way that X-Plane handles the "plane is static on the ramp" friction. We at IXEG have so far spawned the plane in "cold and dark" with no braking available whatsoever. This simulated the state of the plane after sitting dormant for a few days. The brake accumulator would have been discharged, and only the chocks hold the plane in position. We simulate this by failing the brakes. In X-Plane 10, this seemed to work, even on sloped ramps. While the plane was "not moving", Austin made the plane be "glued" to the ground. Only with a certain force applied would the plane brake free. This seems to be changed in XP11, the force needed is much smaller. So the 737 starts rolling (as chocks can´t be simulated in X-Plane). I have added a change to our model in the next patch. The plane will spawn with the brake accu charged, so the parking brake and brake pedals will be effective. Until then, spawn in "ready to fly" or "turnaround". Sorry for the inconvenience, but also keep in mind that we are not officially supporting XP11 with our product yet. Jan

  7. Hiya's, I can imagine one simple scenario, i can think of another but won't post it as if it's as i think it's a great benefit to help protect a product So, Joe Scummy Freebie Bloggs buys a product Too lazy to upload the initial download so two scummy mates can get a copy via an online storage site So a link to the download gets pasted into a conversion box Hey Presto, a few seconds later three have a download within seconds As i've seen on this forum several times, one or more fubars the install and has obviously forgot to keep the download for later usage, slot refill is asked for, gets annoyed after being caught out, spouts off about civil liberties etc etc and pledges to sue etc etc Drops off the face of the earth err forum with tail between the legs Actually thought up another scenario, again, i'll keep that to myself To me, if you've got nothing to hide you have no worries regarding asking for slot activations I didn't really know how much hastle companies in the flight sim world have to go to trying to protect their investment, i do now lol and here's an example My first Catstrator Twitch Stream i think it was, there i was watching a plane being put through its paces, i'm pretty sure it was the IXEG 733, anyways, had a whisper popup, scared the stuffing out of me i was that engrossed in the stream 'Hello, i'm so n so, have you got a link to the download please ?' Ballcocks says i, buy ya own, or polite wording to that effect For me two three or unlimited now means nothing to me, save your first and you're in good stead, if it stops scummers killing off something i like and chuck money at, i say do what the heck you can to stop them and keep working and producing for ones who love the end product and are willing to buy to support development/s, if it takes a step of three slots or a varification every six months so be it Tony

  8. Brakes dont work with no hydraulics powered in XP11 - spawn "ready to fly" or "turnaround". Also no ground services when plane is moving, the guy with the headset isnt that brave... Jan

  9. I've been working on a plugin for the CRJ-200 which simulates the co-pilot, flight attendant, ground crew and passengers in a realistic way. For now it's only for the CRJ-200 (my favorite plane) but other popular planes should follow. A few features : - Fully voiced co-pilot, flight attendant, public announcements and even ground crew. All done by professional voice actors. - Fully voiced, realistic and dynamic checklists for the CRJ-200. And the co-pilot will perform its duties during landing/take-off. It's like a light (but still very realistic) version of FS2Crew. - Generate a dispatch sheet with a realistic schedule, Fuel/CG/VSpeeds calculations, METAR data etc. - Flight scoring and passengers reactions (like in the excellent FSX plugin FSPassengers). Your passengers will react if you perform dangerous maneuvers, applaud your nice landing but won't be happy if you don't follow the announced schedule. - Fully customizable flights (origin/destination, passengers, cargo etc). Each flight can be logged in HTML format. - You can even order a coffee from the flight attendant while cruising. Yup, it took me two days to code this, i regret nothing. If you enjoy the CRJ-200 and flying in a realistic way, I think you will love this plugin.
