  2. I can't resist to share the proudness I have when I see the current state of the bird... She will enter her beta-testing phase by the end of the week. The picture here was made in xp10, and what we see, is that this kind of plane with glass-canopy (as opposed to closed cockpit such as for the B17) does wonders with dynamic shadows. The colors are not 100% definitive, but what you see now is really close to what she will eventually look like. And I dare say, it's not something you see every morning in Xplane :-)

  3. Hello, all, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.2 update for the Take Command! CRJ-200. All customers who have purchased the CRJ-200 up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete installation instructions on how to update your product. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase the CRJ-200 from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 1.3 for you. What if I didn't get the update e-mail? If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do: 1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviati...talog/login.php 2. View your past order history invoice that contains the CRJ-200 purchase on it. 3. At the bottom of the invoice you will find a blue highlighted link to your update that says: "Take Command!: CRJ-200". The new installer will detect whether this is a new install, or if you already have any CRJ-200 version installed. Depending on your current situation, the installer will run through the appropriate paths with you, including uninstalling all unnecessary items from the previous version! Your liveries/downloaded paints will be safe in this process! There are some important fixes and requests implemented in this update. The following is a list of additions/fixes included: GRAPHICS: * 3D cockpit update to make use of X-Plane 10 features: - Dynamic shadows in cockpit - Multiple light sources for all exterior lights - More impressive cockpit lighting with glowing displays SYSTEMS: * Added the remote CDU feature: Control the FMS from any web browsing device in your network. See more about this here: http://bit.ly/tFucVe * Improved performance of FMS, especially LEGS page has less hit on FPS * Fixed a bug that caused overwriting of some X-Plane settings on Linux As always, thanks for being a customer with X-Aviation. We appreciate your feedback and support! Enjoy these latest updates, and stay tuned to the forum as we continually announce the latest happenings.

  5. I think it looks superb and genuinely refreshing. Its nice to see another company having a go, it reminds me of our hobby's golden age when there was more than two flight simulators on the market, such as Fly!, MSFS, Sierra ProPilot, Flight Unlimited, countless combat flight sims as well as X-plane (of course). Unfortunately, it feels these days (and this is my personal view) that it's such a hostile market to be in, I'm surprised developers have the patience. On most of the forums that I have been reading about Aerofly FS, the AVsim Flight forum, Aerosoft forum (where I posted about it), Simouthouse forum etc etc... Some people seem to be quick to judge it's short comings as a simulator and pronounce it dead before it even hits the market. It seems to be the usual thing, if it isn't FSX then it's next to no use. To be honest, I remember the above simulators struggling with the same view years ago with a pretty lack lustre FS2000 at the time. Sad really, you'd think that given that our hobby caters for such a niche market, that people would welcome a new simulator with an open mind, but it seems the exact opposite. I just read a comment on the Simouthouse forum, 'why would pay ware or freeware developers bother learning to build in a new sim', I find it a shame that people think way. I'll be happy to support it when they release an English version. Be wary of turbulence AeroFly FS, because this market is a bumpy ride. Rhydian

  6. Just posted these to Avsim. Last night I spent a whole 30 mins adding some Opensceneryx buildings to 2wa1 Diamond Point, a VERY high profile Orbx scenery area. The xplane autogen is actually BETTER than the orbx houses, except for some small cute details. Of course Openscenery isn't perfect, but wow, it comes up very well in XP10's new lighting, and fills the strip very nicely!
